How far ahead did you book your reception location?

I just got engaged about 3 weeks ago and am aiming for an October '08 wedding and I know that due to the high volume of weddings out here that I need to book a place soon. I noticed that a lot of you other '08 brides have booked. How far ahead did you book? I guess you might say I'm kinda stressing already....

i booked feb 2007 for MAY 2008

I booked May '07 for July '08 (there were only 2 summer dates left for '08 when I was there this May!)

we just looked for a place we loved then based our date off of what they had open still. but we booked for July of 08 in the 1st week of June 07

i don't think you need to stress, but I would say that you should be open and flexible

im in oct- i booked Just 2 days ago but they had my date on hold for a month. :) they are awesome!

i had Sept and some Aug available, but a lot of my family is away so...we decided OCT!!!

booked Oct 06 for May 08, and even then alot of april, may, june was booked so we had just a few dates to choose from

I booked in Aug. of 07 for Oct. of 08
I wanted Oct. 18, but that date was taken, so I went with the 25th.

I booked Dec 06 for Sept 08....I didnt go in there with a date....just the month of Sept in my head and 3 of the 4 Saturdays were open

We booked in March 07 for November 08. WE originally wanted 10/10/08 but it was booked and so were all the other Fridays in October....so we eneded up with November.

march 07 for october 08 - 19 months


we originally wanted 10/17/08 but it was taken - we went with 10/10/08 and I'm happy because looking back, i think 10/10/08 sounds better

Book in late aug for a Nov 08 wedding. If you have your heart set on a specific date I'd go soon.

We book the hall in Feb 07, 7 months after we got engaged. It took me soo long bec I didnt know which to choose

We booked in April 07 for November 08, Dont stress you'll find one!

I originally wanted Oct 08 but there were no open weekends, but that was just this hall. There are many out there!

we booked in November 06 for June 08

so exactly a year and 6 months ahead
