i hear ya don, its kinda good that friday i have bowling as usual and saturday my best friend is here from arizona visitng so we r going out on the town and finally i get to wear my sexy new shirt!!! :) maybe this will keep my mind busy so i will b too busy to think about him anyway (i wish!) LOL

I honestly think there is something BIG going on in his life and you need to RELAX and breathe. Guys are notorious for not expressing sentiment in front of others (especially family) and he probably didn't say he missed you in front of his sister because they may or may not know he's dating someone.

What I would do is either not call him back just in case this crisis is really major or call when I KNOW he's not there and leave a message as follows: 'Hey..I know things must be crazy for you right now. I just want you to know I'm here for you whenever you need to talk or explain what's been going on. As you know, I've been a little concerned (do not use worried). Give me a call...let's talk or get together......soon.'

Now I am not saying that is your case...But it did teach me there is always a reason for no calling....I just have excuse good enough to let days go and no call, UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE HOSPITAL...Otherwise out of 24 hours in a day,,one minute he could take out, if the relationships worth it.



I have to agree with this...
Why involved yourself with someone who has so much baggage/drama? You're discovering it so early on in the relationship...I've said it before and I'm sticking to it...Relationships early on should be sunshine and roses...
(Or rainbows and butterflies as Maroon Five says...)
My opinion...Find someone who wants to call you so much you get sick of him...Don't settle for anything less than that.

I totally had the same thing happen to me many, many years back. The guy came on all strong - made me dinners, even told me he was going to buy me a ring (during a Met's game) and we were only dating for a few weeks. I was more into taking it slow since I was just stepping out of a LTR and was a little reserved w/my feelings. Eventually he won me over and I really started caring about him. I was only following his lead - never assuming more than it was, etc. Then things got weird one day. We were supposed to hang out and he cancelled. Said a 'family emergency' came up. Didn't hear from him for four days. I called a few times, he never picked up. I called his job - they said he was busy. I drove to his house when I knew he'd be getting home from work - he saw me and took off! I left all his crap at the door and never looked back. I got a phone call (on my voicemail) 2 MONTHS later, explaining how sorry he was and that it wasn't 'me', it was that things were going to fast. Going to fast?? Who set the pace retard??? Men suck....

I'm sorry Michi - I think he's playing you. If you never hear from him again, you're better off if that's how he plays. Could you imagine if you invested even more of yourself and let yourself completely go w/him. Hopefully I'm wrong but I have a feeling I'm not. Best of luck sweetie I know it hurts...

Mich - does he by any chance have drug or alcohol problems? This could explain the extended absences and the 'it has nothing to do with you' comment.....

no not that i see..but i kno his most recent ex was a HUGE problem for him, she was kinda stalking him..but geez what does that hafta do with me and him, no reason to blow me off like this..honestly by monday if i dont hear anything, then im gonnahafta say screw it and move on..its just a really weird situation..all of these mixed opinions i m getting today r exactly whats all going threw my mind.. i would rather just know where we stand even if its bad then be left wondering like this...i seriosuly just wanna cry right now

While I still disagree, you do raise an interesting point...AND...I'm happy to see you make a statement which shows that you do have some stand in the matter...Don't be wishy washy! And have confidence/faith in yourself...You're the only one who knows what's best for you...Trust it...

Though I gotta tell you, off the top of my head I'm NOT digging what he's doing to you.. family sitaution or not, I think he could have had the courtesty of calling and just telling you 'it may be a few days but I am thinking of you and when things die down we'll REALLY talk' I would LOVE to give him the benefit of the doubt, but Im growing really skeptical given the last week you have described. I mean to me it sounds as though if you had NEVER called him this week, you'd STILL be waiting to hear from him with NO CLUE he is having 'problems' or 'family issues'

I'm sorry hon -- I guess i've 'been around the block' a LOT and this has happened to me more times than I'd care to admit, so I'm not getting a good vibe from this situation at all ...

I know you are feeling bad and wanna cry and this is just really hard for you.. honestly I KNOW and I feel for ya.. its the worst feeling in the world to be strung along and then for a person to completely pull back (be it legitimate reasons or not..there really isn't much excuse)

OK so much for I'll send you an FM! (but I will anyhow) Hugs to you and please don't get yourself sad about this .. Really NOONE is worth that!!!!
