Invite that says 'money from Invitees, NO Gifts'..

Am I the only one that thinks this is a little pushy or just 'different'?

It's from a BRIDAL SHOWER invite that I received.

When did DEMANDING money become acceptable!!!? I must have missed that one!

I would absolutely go, bring a gift & get in touch with anyone else you know and have them bring a gift also...and crappy gifts at that.

Or, put 10 bucks in a card...Oops! Guess they should have been EVEN MORE SPECIFIC!!!

To be honest, I was insulted...but then I thought, 'am I being too rigid in my thinking'...but I still feel weird about it.

in a way it is true, however i think a registry in turn makes life easier for someone looking to give the couple a gift. if someone wanted to they could go where it is easiest for them. i think money makes people a little crazy sometimes!

Agreed!!! Thanks for putting it that way because I felt a little weird when we finally registred. That explanation makes me feel better.

My dad once got a wedding invitation that was a print out of a dollar bill with the couples picture in it that said the couple would appreciate money. Now that's bad. I feel bad to judge people, I guess everyone has their own reasons for doing things.
