Hey all you 09 Swan Club girls! I figured since there are quite a few of us now, we could definitely start our own thread. I like using the past threads for some great ideas, but I also figured this is a good place for us 09 planners to post questions and share ideas.

Just in case you girls are still wondering, the showcase is Feb. 5th. Who's going???? Im hoping to make the trip up this year.
One question I had, on your invitations are you using Glenwood Landing or Roslyn as the address for the swan club???

im going... i told them 4 people... and they insisted that i limit it to 2 or 3 at the most... blahh...
as for invites... i used the address they provide on their contact page for the gps.... 90 glenwood rd (I think) roslyn, ny ... everyone has gps so i figured this would be better

If you look online on the directions page the added a gps or navigation address. That is the address I used on invites.

I also used Roslyn, NY because of the GPS reason.

Swan Club added some things to their menu, so make sure you check before you make all your menus and have to re-do them like I did . boy oh boy

Oh wow thanks for the heads up, I called them and asked if they are doing that and they told me no. Did they change the dinner menu or cocktail hour??

Whomever get the info on the menu changes first, please post to this thread.
On another note, I've been trying to add some guests to my budget but I've forgotten what the sales tax is in Nassau county. Anybody??
Just to make sure I'm doing this correct: (Plate amount X 18% service gratuity) x sales tax = total per guest. Correct?

I will say that I wasn't 'amazed' by any of the food but everything we had was good. I haven't gone for a tasting yet though - just what they had at the showcase.
The cakes though, THOSE were REALLY good.

Does anyone know where they put the bars in the Camelot room? I was thinking of one in that little side room where you first walk in (where they had the cakes at the showcase), but where does the other one go? In the corner near the CH room?
Also, has anyone thought about having a photo booth? Do you think there would be enough room for that and the bar in that room when you walk in?

On the floor plan, it looks like one bar goes in the corner (to the right of the cocktail hour room door) catty cornered and the second one yes is kind of in that room where the cakes were set up, but it's against the windows and more in the actual camelot room perimeter. does that make sense? sorry if my explanation confusing.
