Oh one more thing, for lunch, try having a Jamba Juice...that also helps!! Not sure if you girls have a Jamba Juice nearby, but it's good to have for lunch. Keep in mind you spend the majority of your day sitting down at work so you need to be wise with your lunch selection.

Very very juice... Jamba Juice is excellent.. I have one downstairs from me!!! Your right about work to.. because I sit ALL DAY! and it can really catch up to you!

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread

I'm looking for anything, see this is the thing. MY FH is Catholic and I'm not. If we get married in a cathalic church I need to take some classes and do a bunch of things. So that scratches the whole church thing...I was looking for any place that hold ceremonies in the city midtown or downtown. I only have 5 months and need to find something quick

Quia, I LOVE your dress. It's stunning and you are going to wear it beautifully!

I started my wedding fitness plan today. Sigh. I have gained a few pounds since I started dating FH last year! All those amazing dinners and drinks have taken their toll.
I might turn to you girls for strength!

its so important to stay healthy... You will do good.. just stay focused.. it can be hard..
I walk every day at 2:30 to get my son... to his school, home, back to work and back home.. I have the car but I make it my buisness to do this faithfully! Its so important to me to feel and look my best for my wedding.. and in general really.. I met my FH and this four years for us we BOTH have let go.. but its like you said.. eating out, home relaxed, kids, stress, it all plays a part! I also started a whole body cleanse recently.. lets just say... its working..

Well damn I'm jealous. Because I really need to start hitting up the gym I just have no time. One thing that really does make a big difference is if you eat nada after 7/8 pm. And if you do leave the carbs behind. You will notice a difference trust me.

GIRL..... PLEAAAASSEEEEE.... YOU ARE FINE! LETS NOT GO THERE... YOU CAN GO TO THE GYM 2 WEEKS B4 THE WEDDING.. TO GET A SWEAT IN.. BUT WE KNOW YOU DONT NEED TO BE THERE...

YOU SEE ME W/ MY CLOTHES ON. I HAVE GAINED 15 LBS SINCE I HAD JAYDEN. I NEED TO TONE MOSTLY BUT THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN OVERNIGHT.

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread

Chicas,
Thanks for the dieting tips! Not eating after 8pm is tough for me since I rarely get home before then. I will do my best! Maybe I'll just have tea and a salad for dinner after 8pm.

I started working with a personal trainer, he said to watch carbs altogether but to definitely avoid them after 3pm. I am armed with information and I know I can do this. Thanks Girls!!!

Girl, I hear you on the rice!! He came right out and said to me- 'You Latinas love your rice but you need to get serious. No rice with dinner.' Then as he was walking away, he yelled out across the gym 'Oh yea, and maduros and tostones are NOT fruits or vegetables'.

Everyone busted out laughing.

I always wonder why it is that Asians caneat so much rice and stay so thin? And when we eat rice it attacks our hips and belly.

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread

I asked my friend about that. They steam their rice and then they only eat about a cup (or less). I know when Mom makes a plate for me....it's half rice and beans.

They also eat lots fish- steamed or baked....no pernil/rabo for them. Sigh. Why does our food have to taste SO good?!

exactly.. where I used to go for nails.. they had a steamer there .. and they only ate steamed rice with a half cup to a cup.. and that was a plastic cup.. with a verge or a steamed fish! and nothing ELSE!

I put on 15 to 20 pounds living with my FH parents at one point... There Puerto Rican.. OMG!! Rice with everything!!! I dont care what she made.. there was rice there.. and always a small portion of salad.. like that was going to make it healthier.. but I could never resist.. I love her rice and beans!!!! OMG what do you guys call the more burnt ones at the bottom of the pan.. she had a name for it... LMAO!... Im so hungry now...
