i had the engagement party, trust me its not worth it there so much bs involved i wish i wouldve never done it. Especially if you have cheap @ss ppl that dont give you gifts its a waste so just stick with the shower and the bachelorette party if you want too..

YOu know, this is the first time somebody mentioned people were 'cheap' for not giving gifts at e- parties ~ and nobody beat her up for it!!! LOL. Had you posted this on a diff. board, OMG some girls would have torn you a new one...' Well... I dont have e-party to get gifts! It's tacky! ' bla bla bla . Must be a spanish thing

An e-party is really just to celebrate your engagement and bring the 2 families together. Gifts are NOT required nor should they be expected at engagement parties. (Etiquette)

I had an e-party, some were very generous while others didnt even give us a picture frame. I thought it was a little rude not to even give us a card to congratulate us.

It might just be a spanish thing. we kno if theres some sort of a party, or even a get together, you shoul bring something.
