Yeah it's fresh..lol...They usually make it on the same day. Girl, I've had a few parties at my house and went straight to costco. You could even get a large platter of shrimp cocktail too...i believe for like $10-$15 bucks. Not sure what was the exact price.

Thanks girl! I'll def go there for sushi and I'll check out what else they have.

My aunt makes cakes to look like anything cribs, anything you can imagine, but I was not sure what type of cake to give DH, any suggestions?

See the thing was that I want to do an arabic theme, have sushi and take him to see Greece on Broadway so I was think of getting it like the same of the car in greece...but isn't thank mixing too many themes. I just go crazy thinking of all these things.

Ohhh and yes Coscto Sushi is very fresh!!!! We had it for a baby shower ( the platters ) and it was soooooo yummyyy and FRESH!!

Or if you want to keep it simple, make the cake look like the number 30. Maybe you can put a nice cake topper that says 30th birthday...that's just another suggestion.

Sangria is always a big hit. A cheap HUGE jug of wine and a bag of rozen fruits and you're good to go.

I had a friend who was tight on funds make 'ghetto sangria' wine and sunkist.....people couldn't get enough! They had no idea...even asked her for the recipe.

Okay ladies, you are the most helpful so I want to post something I need help with.

My DH 30th bday is in Jan. I am really broke between my bills and my mortgage. Anyways, I wanted to do a party for him. At first I thought of doing an arabic theme, decorating the house with sheets and laterns and hookahs and doing a mini bellydance show infront of him. My quetsion is I don't want to over spend on food/drinks. So what drinks do you think will be good for the occasion and cheap on my pocket. I know his fam can always help me with food but I don't want a spanish dish with middle eastern theme.

I know he loves sushi or should I do a party around sushi?
