wow, what an awesome trip! How long did you go for? We went to Rivera Maya near Cancun for 2 weeks. I wanted to be at a beach for our honeymoon so Italy/Rome was out, and Hawaii does not interest me as odd as that may seem. So I asked to go to Mexico to check out the ruins and asked him to surprise me, so he picked the hotels and the activities. We had a great time, it was very peaceful!

ETA: We weren't allowed to travel before we got married, my mom doesn't find it appropriate We went all together to Punta Cana and I stayed in my parents room and he was in his own room while we were BF and GF. I did go with him to Canada for 4 days and told my mom it was a girl trip...lol She now knows I lied...she got over it...LMOA

After we got back together I was like this whole new women, and I would then sleep over his house even though it upset my mom, I was like pls I am a grown women, who works, goes to school and owns a house...I can do what I pls....LOL So things changed from then, I even went to FL with him and my FAM down there expected me to stay with them...I was like HELL NO, my FH is not staying in a hotel by himself in South Beach

We went for 2 weeks to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. He proposed on the 3rd night- we were in Spain.


I HEAR you on not travelling before being married. He is the first and only man I have ever travelled with (other than family). We took our first trip during Valentines day weekend, we went to Punta Cana. I was 29. My mom and Grandmother both sat me down and talked to me about 'having the honeymoon before the wedding'.


I wanted to tell them...uhm it's a little late for this talk!

I love how you got bold after you went on the 'girls trip' to Canada. LMAO, I did the same thing after Punta Cana. I was like whateva. Everyone has adjusted. When I stay over with him, it's a don't ask, don't tell thing. Which is fine by me!

I'll keep Riviera Maya in mind, thanks! We'd love to go to Fiji/Bora Bora but with the economy acting crazy....we may do Mexico or Costa Rica.

i think if you want to visit leonards you have to have an appt and probably be there before 11am, because there weddings start after that and you cant visit their rooms.

That was my hall my first time around. I didn't go back there because I played it out by going so often to look at it...LOL plus I starting seeing the room small. The latest I have gone was at 3 p.m. but that was a Sat or Sun. To be honest with you I thought I was being rude, but you might see two or three people dress casual while guests are arriving. I even saw brides taking pics. I agree with Gloria, its best to go early, you don't want to feel like your crashing in.

Its the room for up to 150 guest. People use it as a cocktail or as the room for their party. They have different rooms based on how many guests.

To be honest DH started saying 'it looks like the size of a closet' so I got self concious and was no longer happy with it. But a friend that went there for a wedding and I interogated her and she told me she thought it was a good size room. Go look at it, everyone sees things differently. I seen a bride who has gotten married in the same room. Seach for Leonard's Review.

Gonna go look at a church tonight with the FH then tomorrow gonna go to the restaurant/hall to see whats up with it. It's gonna be raining tomorrow so its gonna suck!!!!
