I am so depressed ladies. I am tired of working just to pay my mortgage ($4,900) Crazy Right? I just called the bank and they want to try to refinance but I don't think that will work cause my father shows no income (thats why we got such an expensive mortgage). I am in the same crises like those who are loosing their homes, the difference is that I am losing all my income just to pay the house and save my credit Don't know what to do.

Okay ladies, you are the most helpful so I want to post something I need help with.

My DH 30th bday is in Jan. I am really broke between my bills and my mortgage. Anyways, I wanted to do a party for him. At first I thought of doing an arabic theme, decorating the house with sheets and laterns and hookahs and doing a mini bellydance show infront of him. My quetsion is I don't want to over spend on food/drinks. So what drinks do you think will be good for the occasion and cheap on my pocket. I know his fam can always help me with food but I don't want a spanish dish with middle eastern theme.

I know he loves sushi or should I do a party around sushi?

I would say buy kebobs from costco or bj's,pita bread, samosas from a Indian restaurant, and other M.E appetizers. Maybe make a mango shake like a lasi if your familiar with indian food and use that for drinks. Maybe get some bottles of Riunite wine its super cheap and super good IMO.

His friends are the beer type of guys. I am into aric culture but not the foods (DH isn't either) I am very very picky. I would love to get a check from our union so I could then rent a cheap hall to host it...oh well

Thats why i was pissed when certain ppl didnt give us anything because they were the first ones running to grab food to take home and drank like 3 cases of Mikes hard lemonade. We had a bbq for our engagement party. So these ppl were beasting with the food and didnt even bring a blank card. Its the thought that counts too. Jerks!! lol

They didnt bring a dime they just brought their appetites after me, my aunt and my mother busted out butts cooking and slaving away...lmfaoo...i wouldve been happy with an empty card just saying Happy Engagement but no nada zilch nothing..

Awwww, I know..its soooo hard out here.. I understand you sooo much. We bought a condo 2 years ago.. we moved and rented it out.. but the rent there paying dosent cover the mortgage and the main fee's and taxes.. so Im paying the difference which is $1000.00 per month, 2 car notes.. which thank god one will be done sometime next month... but one is a truck we dont have... that well lonnnggg story.. thats over $1500.00 per month with car insurance.. then rent!!!!!!!!! we decided to move into a nice neighborhood in NJ on the Hudson to get the kids in EXTREMLY good school... rent a house for $1750.00!!!!( which we took because it was a connection..otherwise it was $2400) plus lights and cable!!!!!!!!! it drives me insane at times!!!! OVER $4k a month.. and thats not food, and the boys lunch money ( which is not freaking cheap out here).. and clothes.. and OMG.. trying to plan a wedding.. and just to LIVE! and trying to get ahead! We maintain and stay sane.. but its sooo hard.. so I do understand...
We tried to refiance the condo and NOPE! We have to get the credit up a little more... so she said next summer maybe... Just take it day by day..I came to the conclusion that I am just pround of myself for being 26 and maintaing.. you know what I mean? You are also in school! I give you lotttsss of credit! Trust me.. you came far! Its going to pay off!!!!!!!!
