That's a good idea about the sugar free because i have alot of older people also who are diabetic.

Speak to your hall. My Daddy and MIL are both diabetic and they had a big assortment of sugar free desserts for them.

They also have ornaments where they print your pic and you can add words. I order mine and it says Mr. & Mrs. then our picture and then '1st Christmas.'

When I get it in the mail I'll take a pic to show you ladies.

I can't wait until next year when i can get one of those I did get a lenox ornament for this year...a bride and groom and it says 2008 since we are getting married 2 days after Christmas...but I have to wait until next year to get the 'Our first Christmas' ornament.

Hi Ladies.. WOW.. last time I looked there was 8 pages!! Now there is 14! Lots of Love on this board...

Well Im pretty new here.. Im Shaquia.. or Quia.
( sounds like koya) lol

whichever way Im not spanish but my FH is Puerto Rican... and I love spanish music, the culture, food, everything! Soooo for my first dance Im so excited to do a slow dance and then a little meregue or bachata dance.. I would love to do Salsa but as much as I practice and love it I dont want to embarass myself.....

So maybe some suggestions on some LOVE songs bachata or merengue... I know alot of but I need something thats talking about love.. that would be nice to dance to??!!! Thanks sooo much!

Hii and welcome!!! Don't worry i'm Puerto Rican and i can't salsa dance for nothing in this world lol..theres also beautiful boleros that are super romantic, latin jazz and tangos(hard to dance too but beautiful)

Speaking of music...I need spanish music selections. With the wedding coming up in 58 days I need to start putting together my list for the DJ.

What do you girls recommend for..

Salsa? (already have Rebellion and Lloraras)
Merengue? (already have Morena Ven)
Bachata?
Boleros?
Baladas?
Cumbia?

Please please please give me sugestions. I know my DJ will do a great job..but I want to list some songs..and i feel like my bridal brain is on freeze when it comes to music.

The CLASSIC Bachata first dance is Bachata Rosa- Juan Luis Guerra.

There's also Que me des tu cariño, Burbujas de Amor- you can't go wrong with Juan Luis Guerra.

That said- I LOVE Aventura

They are very soft, lots of guitar, super romantic, i'm sure itunes has some. Julio Iglesias has alot of nice ones and theres also alot of older ones like from back in the day that sound very beautiful.

Like the girls suggested Juan Luis Guerra has a lot of nice and romantic bachata. Although I ♥ Aventura their songs tend to be a little bit more urban.
Girl get your salza on in your wedding. My DH took classes and then chickened out to dance the remix that we had for our first song. I ran to my Maitre D and told him tell the DJ to just playyy the slowww song - no salsa mix
