Hi Ladies.. WOW.. last time I looked there was 8 pages!! Now there is 14! Lots of Love on this board...

Well Im pretty new here.. Im Shaquia.. or Quia.
( sounds like koya) lol

whichever way Im not spanish but my FH is Puerto Rican... and I love spanish music, the culture, food, everything! Soooo for my first dance Im so excited to do a slow dance and then a little meregue or bachata dance.. I would love to do Salsa but as much as I practice and love it I dont want to embarass myself.....

So maybe some suggestions on some LOVE songs bachata or merengue... I know alot of but I need something thats talking about love.. that would be nice to dance to??!!! Thanks sooo much!

Welcome Quia,

Like the girls suggested Juan Luis Guerra has a lot of nice and romantic bachata. Although I ? Aventura their songs tend to be a little bit more urban.
Girl get your salza on in your wedding. My DH took classes and then chickened out to dance the remix that we had for our first song. I ran to my Maitre D and told him tell the DJ to just playyy the slowww song - no salsa mix

RadiantBride- Do you happen to be in a sorority?

Yes. and yourself. By my name I am assuming you know what sorority I am in

LOL..I do know which one you're in. I am a SIA. What school and semester did you pledge?

Not necessarily. Most 4 year colleges have sororities and fraternities. I lived on campus but there are people that become members without living on campus.
And ummmm GO STUDY Missy!!

Not exactly...we are from two different Latina Sororities. In order to qualify for membership you would have to be an undergrad in college or a grad student...doesn't matter if you dorm or not.

For Merengue i would say some older Oro Solido stuff umm i haven't listened to merengue in awhile

For boleros i know Julio Iglesias sings some really beautiful ones and theres also Gypsy Kings

Hope i helped

Welcome

I think your FH needs to teach or have a talk with my FH.

My FH is 1/2 German, 1/4 Polish and 1/4 Italian and just doesn't even try to dance anything.
