I noticed because I remember you flipping out about it before your wedding. I have to say it looked like you did it intentionally- they are the same color family and the girls looked so great in them- that's what I focused on.

Hey!!!!!!Thank you so much!!!!! The views made everything so amazing!!!!
I have the pictures on www.collages.net Username Maribel and Ramon
Password 23824
Not sure if you've seen them there, but feel free to check it out
Any advice you want to give me on marriage..lol
haven't seen them but will in a few....girl...if you didn't live with him before marriage all I can say is be patient with one another. Living together was tough on me the 1st two months, just getting used to one another plus my 3 doggies...then again everyone is different. Just enjoy it to the max! Don't let little things bother you. Always make time for each other despite any busy schedules that you or he may have.

I'm taking this advice Suneydis! FH and I just moved in together....a month this weekend. It's LOTS of fun but its an adjustment. I think we're doing ok so far....trying our BEST to incorporate the strategies we learned in PreCana

Thank God they all blended in together!!! In the end, I didn't care because I had so many things go wrong.
I just remember saying, God, after all of this, I better have record breaking temperatures.' And I did

Isn't it such a great feeling to move in together. We are actually in the middle of moving into a new apartment together because our lease is up and I'm so excited. It's like a new start since we're married now..lol. I definitely miss the whole decorating and shopping for a new place. I'm looking forward to it.Oh one piece of advice, I've only been married for a month now, but living with him for 3 years.

Hey Chicas!
I'm Diana and am really glad to see this thread![]()
I'm Mexican American, FH is Costa Rican and Peruvian.
We are incorporating lots:
Mass will be 80% in Spanish
We will have Padrinos de Boda
I will wear a mantilla veil and wear a dress made in Spain (Pronovias)
We're doing the rosary lasso and presenting flowers to the Virgen de Guadalupe.
We're also having Mariachi's perform during dinner...my Big Fat Latino Wedding!
Wow..my parents asked me what we would do and i'm so glad you posted this!!!
I'm Peruvian and FH is Polish...I'm not sure what padrinos do but can you give me some info as to what you're doing?

Thank you very much! We couldn't go away for the whole weekend cause of life circumstances but at least we went to NJ over night from Sun to Mon and we had such a relaxing day! We are planning on going back to Mexico to the same resort we went to our HM in August so it will feel like my HM all over again

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread
Hey there. My name is Gemma. I´m 1/2 Ecuadorian and 1/2 Italian. I was born and raised in NY but came on vacation to Ecuador a little over 3 years ago and decided to move here. I´m getting married in Long Island because my parents still liver there and the rest of my fam is throught NY and one sister in FL. Trying to plan a wedding over the phone and online is a bit weird but I am finding my way little by little. My FH is Ecuadorian and speaks limited English. However most of my guest list is non spanish speaking. i´m keeping it small and so mostly it´s my dad´s side of the fam (he has 7 brss and sis so between them and their kids its like 80 - 90% of the list!!)
I want to incorporate all types of music into my wedding ie latino - salsa merengue, swing music, 80s music (for fh) and italian music. I think I´m going to have a hard time finding a DJ!!!
My mom is not traditional at all (she´s my ecaudorian 1/2) so i´m not really following any traditions per se.
Originally we were thinking of just doing the ceremony in English but I like the idea of doing it mixed Eng and Span (although I didn´t read all of the pages of this thread I did skim through quite a few!!) The other issue as that the wedding is 100% non religious. Does anyone know of a justice of the peace or other non-denominational person that can give a ceremony in both english and spanish?
I appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Gemma

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread
Hey ladies, I havent been here in a while but I just want to congratulate the new latinas bride-to be..I used my mantilla veil and everyone loved! my aunt made it for me so it was extra special
I dance 'besos de mariposa' with my dad and it was the perfect song (is the spanish version of butterfly kisses'
My menus where in English and spanish (my DIY project) and the older people love that
Just remember that the day is your day and if something dont go your way dont think about it just have fun!
