I posted before in a QOTD.

anyway, I knew the engagement was coming soon, so FH reallllly had to surprise me.

FH decided to go to our 'spot' a restaurant in NYC before he started going on a diet...so I didnt think anything of it, it was our usual place and last minute plans.

well, it was a saturday night in manhattan, at a popular restaurant...and due to LIE traffic we were 2 hours late!

FH said in the car about 3 times that he was just going to turn around and eat somewhere else so i realllllly didnt think anything was going to happen

we get to the restaurant, our table is waiting for us??? reallly??? saturday night prime time and were late?
(STILL didnt dawn on me)

during dinner I see a camera guy and Im like hey babe, they are recording something maybe well be on TV LOLOL (STILL didnt put it together)

well the restaurant was really loud, so FH asked the manager to turn the music down, the manager said I can only do it for a minute, literally a MINUTE...so fh was super nervous, cause as soon as the music stopped he had to get it all out

well he got down on his knee like a gentleman and said the most amazing things to me...and of course, I said yes!

Jenni!!!! SOOOOOO cuuuuteee!!!! FH did SUCH a great job and I LOVED his wink at the camera while he was walking behind you hahaaha!

Mine isn't overly romantic, but it was totally perfect for us. FH picked me up after a loooong day of work at like 7:30 pm. He asked me if I wanted to go down to the river (we lived in OR at that time) and I was tired and hungry and bitchy and totally shot hime down. Little did I know he had this whole thing planned which he changed. While we were in the car on the way home, 'our' song came on and it made me feel a little better. When we got home, he made me a bubble bath with candles (which he never does, so that should have sent up a red flag, but I was in too much of a mood to care). So I soaked for a while, then he comes in and I said 'You're the best boyfriend ever for this' and he said 'Can I be the best fiance ever' and whipped out the ring. I stood up and all I could say was 'Are you F-ing kidding me?' over and over while I was dripping from the tub It was very us. I wouldn't have it any other way

It was december 24th Christmas Eve LOL FH had told me on the ride over to Aunts house that his brother and his wife were arguing and that he didnt know what to o that he felt really bad. So like 15 mins after we get there he says I haveto go get my brother he is really upset I said OK I didnt think anything. SO now time is passing and Im thinking where is he. So I go to call him and I see my truck coming down the road, so then his mom walks in the room where I was and I said OMG I cant believe they are fighting and she was like what ever we should just stay out of it and I said they are here now and she said just come back in the living room so I go to walk back and then my phone rings its FH He says you gotta come outside theres a guy out here dressed as santa and hes dancing down the street IM like What so I look out the window and I tell his dad who's sitting there so Im looking and Im like WTheck there is hahaha I figured it was a neighbor or something who was having a party and my truck was still in the road running and the santa was standing by the drivers window so I figured my FH was still sitting in the drivers seat talking to the Santa So i got my coat on to go see the santa(like a little kid) I go out there and this santa is dancing and stumbling down the street and my FBIL yells 'Jenny you gotta see this guy' So Im looking at the santa and Im walking down the driveway and the santa starts coming towards me and I see his sneakers and Im like OMG is that Stephen and he gets on one knee and proposes I scream shut up are you serious. It was the cutest thing ever it was perfect there was christmas music playing and snow on the ground. My parents were hiding behind a car down the road and they got to see the whole thing. FH hates when I show people the pics of the engagement he said he dressed like santa for me not for every1 else but I will sneak one hahaha

my fiance and i had been dating for about five years. we talked about marriage, but at the time, we had a lot going on, so the thought of a proposal was the last thing on my mind. it was christmas eve and i was at work. my office was closing early that day, so i wasn't planning on doing any work. one of the attorneys i work for called me up to a conference room to help him with some files. i was pretty annoyed b/c i was leaving the office in about an hour. little did i know, this was all a part of the plan. when i got up to the conference room and opened the door, my fiance was standing there with roses. i was in total shock and couldn't comprehend why he was there. he proposed and i said yes, obviously! i was still so confused how he got into my building b/c we have such high security and how he was able to book a conference room. it all made sense when i got back to my desk and all my co-workers were there with champagne and cupcakes. my fiance had been planning the engagement with them for a few months and they all knew about it. it was one of the best days of my life <3

AFTER CLOSING MY EYES THE ENTIRE TIME UP TO THE TOP OF THE TOWER, WE FINALLY ARRIVE 460 FEET ABOVE THE LAS VEGAS STRIP. DANNY THEN ENCOURAGED ME TO TAKE SOME PICTURES OF MY FAVORITE HOTEL. HE CALLED MY NAME AND WHEN I TURNED AROUND , HE WAS ON ONE KNEE AND EVERYONE ON THE OBSERVATION DECK WAS SPEECHLESS. Oh my God!!!! That is BEYOND nice!!!!

Okay first of all, all of you are making me cry histerically right now LOL

It's Long but here we go
-My FH I will never forget it was Halloween and he told me he had to go get his hair cut (which took 3 1/2 hours) said he needed a shaving too LOL. When he got back I was being a complete ***** to him and said I was going out that night so he asked me if we could go to lunch the next day. He got all upset like 'Do you love me?'. Then he got a phone call and walked out of the room and I was like 'was that a girl?' and he was like no it was Tommy and I knew Tommy was coming over so I dropped it and changed to my costume and went out that night.
-November 1st- I got up and we were getting ready for lunch and I was sitting in the Kitchen and FMIL was saying for christmass all she wants is for us to get married and her daughter to clean her room LOL. I decided I could take a shower after lunch because I was so hungry I wanted to eat, and he tried getting me to get ready first but I didn't get the hint (that's why I look like @ss in my pics hahaha) Well we went to our fav place Show Win (Sushi ) and we ate. Then we went down to Northport Village and went for a walk. I didn't want to walk because I just ate and it was freezing out but I ****** it up I didn't want to complain because it was so nice of him to do this. We go into the Gazebo and he kissed me and I remember thinking 'this is such a marry me moment' and then was 'like nah he wouldn't' and then I realized when I opened my eyes he was on his knees and he was like 'Will You Marry Me?'

-Turns out the girl on the phone was my Sister he had just come back from purchasing the ring. And thats why he was questioning me about my bitchiness. I felt so bad afterwords

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE (SO FAR)

We celebrated our 6 year dating anniversary June 1st, 2010.

On Friday June 4th FH suggested that we go for happy hour on the beach after work just the two of us. We went to Robert Moses field 2 where there was hardly anyone around. We opened a bottle of wine and watched the sunset..it was beautiful. He decided to light up a cigar which he started to puff quickly (I should have known something was up!) He smoked it just enough to get the band off the cigar because he he always gives it to me as a pretend ring. For about a year before it actually happened he would always practice propose with the cigar bands..it was kinda our little thing.

Well he got up and kneeled down in front of me and said 'let me practice this one more time'- he started to slip the cigar band on my finger and at the very last second he switched it with an engagement ring! I responded with 'FH's name'- after a long few shocked moments he asked 'for the record..yes?' I jumped up hugged and kissed him and said YES! I was so surprised and shocked, I had no idea it was coming!

Well, originally we got engaged back in May of 09 all because of my obsession with cleaning

(while I was on a cleaning spree, i was clearing out his dresser drawers, I noticed the ring box. As I am opening it up, I hear him running towards our room, but it was too late )

I gave it back and told him to propose to me however he was planning on it. But since I knew it was coming, I started planning the wedding anyways


so fast forward to Oct of 09. We're in Disney World, and I knew this is what he was waiting for! We went to dinner at the Yachtsman's Steak House, and when we sat down, I saw a personalized menu with our names on it. It listed all the appetizers and entrees to choose, but under the dessert section, it said a very special surprise. So FH orders a bottle of Dom Perigon (sp), and we eat our delicious steaks... He then orders a bottle of CRISTAL, and in my glass was the ring. He then tells me how much he loves me, that when he looks into my eyes, he knows he's home. Then asks me to be his partner-in-crime forever lol. The whole restaurant clapped for us, and the waitress brought us out a chocolate congratulation plate, and a card signed by all the disney characters and the waitresses. It was so cute!!!!!!!

omg, these videos are making me all emotional!!!

My story:

On July 4th, 2010, FH and I ventured into Manhattan to have a nice day alone. I wanted to buy my new camera and after purchasing it, FH decided to take me to his favorite park (Madison Square Park) so I could test out the new equipment.

For two years or so, FH has been saying the phrase 'So what do you think about us?' ... implying wedding talk, over and over, just to mess with me. I eventually started telling him not to say it unless he was seriously proposing. Still, he never stopped and continued to egg me on!

So, as we sat at the park on July 4th, he asked me 'So what do you think?' and I said 'About us? I wanna get married!!' he said 'Eh' to which I begged 'will you stop joking around?!'

FH said 'fine,' pulled the ring out of his pocket, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was totally speechless and thought I was dreaming for a minute (I just stared and stared at the diamond in shock), but of course said yes!

It was simple, classic and sweet. I get very easily embarrassed so while I LOVE watching other people get engaged, I'm glad he kept it low key.

Everyone joked that it was the opposite of declaring independence on Independence Day.

FH and I love going into the city and spending the afternoon in Central Park. One day FH said 'We should go into the city this weekend'. The weather had been really nice at the time and we had the same days off (somewhat rare) so I figured OK! I'm thinking he knows I LOVE going into the city, going to the zoo, walking around and always going back to the row boats and the boat house. (has significant meaning since we started dating )

We went to Central Park's Boat house and spent the afternoon on the lake. I ALWAYS have my camera with me. I told FH I wanted to stop and take a few picturse and he said OK. We found a quiet/private area for me to take a few pictures of the lake and us. The 'dork' that I am, I balanced the camera on a tree trunk, set up the timer on the camera and ran back to FH to take a few pictures. As I continued to do this.... FH pulled out a RING. As the pictures were snapping he calls my name and tells me to 'look' SO I looked at him.... he's like 'No, look down' and he was holding a RING!! As the pictures continued to snap he proposed! I said YES! Gives new meaning to 'Picture Perfect'

It was exactly at 12am on Feb 14th (1 year after we became official). It happened in a restaurant named Currans in upstate, at that time we we're the only ones still in the restaurant and were sitting right in front of the fireplace. I thought that we were only gonna have a romantic dinner and exchange gifts since we were on vacation and it was st. Valentine and our anniversary at the same time, so I recorded everything!! Now that I'm watching the video, I can def noticed how nervious FH was!!!
