Wanda- Visa laws do vary widely. My grandmother from Colombia already has a visiting Visa so we don't need to worry baput that. My other cousin wanted to come form El Salvador and it doesn't look like they will grant it, no matter what It has taken over 6 months

My sister also lives in Ecuador and what she needed was an invitation and a notarized letter from me (the bride) stating why I wanted my sister to come. She made an appt. with 'el consulado' 4/16 and I sent her the documents by Delagado on 4/10. I cut it really close since it takes approx. 5 days to arrive and it actually got there that morning or the night before. I sent an actual invite since I wanted them to know that it was legit.

This is what the letter said:

Consulado General de los EE UU de N.A.

Guayaquil-Ecuador

Senor Consul:

Con el debido respoeto que Usted se merece, me estoy dirigiendo a usted, con el proposito de solicitar su permiso, para obtener una visa consular.

Estoy invitando a una parte de mi familia, que viven en la ciudad de Guayaguil-Ecuador, a mi proximo matrimonio que se realizara en la ciudad de (enter town where you are getting married)-New York. El dia 23 de Mayo de 2003.

Los familiares invitados son: Mi hermana la Sra. (neter family members by relation and name). Esta visita traera mucho regocijo a toda la familia.

Agradeciendole anticipadamente por el tiempo ques se gaste en darle atencion a esta carta.

your name and it needs to be notarized. My sister was granted permission right then and there and actually arrived this past Friday.

When do you suggest I do this? I have 2 cousins and 2 aunts(they won't have a problem). My concern are my 2 cousins and one has a son, we are saying is the ring bearer. If he does come, he will be in the wedding party somehow.

I am so sorry that I cannot make it, a friend of mine is going through a hard time and I am pitching in w. her kids. I will make the next one though!

As it stands only myself, avesur and P&a91203 are going to be able to make it. I think it's best that we cancel being that there were SO many last minute drop-outs. We will have to re-schedule
