Re: Paging all Latin Brides
hello ladies!i'm so glad i found this forum!!!!!!!!
well my name is gaby and my FI's name is frank.
we are getting married on july 24, 2005 at the Watermill in smithtown
wow! i thought i was having a big bridal party. I'm having 8 girls, 8guys,
one ring bearer and 3 flower girls. I will also be doing the spanish mass with
padrinos and everything!! the only problem we are having is finding the church
and whether we will be saying our vows in english or spanish (my FI 's spanis
is not so good). oh by the way we are both Salvadorans living on Long Island.
It will be great getting to see everyone's wedding ideas.

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
hi cmc and thanks for the welcomeI couldn't help but notice that you used tommy tunes for your DJ
i have been looking up their website and i am very interested in booking them
could you tell me about them? were they good party motivators 'cause that
is what i am looking for (a big party) did they play everything you wanted
them to play, how was their style overall (i don't want anything cheesy) and
most importantly were their prices reasonable?
thank you in advance for any info you can provide me with!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
hi all,FH and I are dominican ( I was born here, he was born over there). Our bridal party consist of like 7bm & gm, plus flower girl and ring bearer. My mom wanted us to have more but we are already inviting 225+ guests. We are also having padrinos. Our wedding is going to be mostly spanglish. We have booked the catering hall, church, florist and yesterday I placed the order for my gown. In reference to 'pelo malo' there are a lot of great places in Freeport. I use Isa's. She's been doing my hair since I was 14. FM if you want more information. I'm going to try post my dress. Good luck with all your planning ladies.

Girls I just wanted to say that Curly2003's DJ was absolutely AMAZING!! Her wedding was sooo much fun and I danced the night away. She had mostly all Latin music and she mixed some of type of music in also and it was a great time. The MC was also fantastic and translated everything from Spanish to English. If you are interested I suggest you FM her.

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
Ok ladies.. any new updates? Some of you know Im going for an Asian Inspired reception.. but I just met my officiant today.. dont ask how.. but the subject of what HE will wear came up. Yes, I know.. im picky.. but heck it's my wedding!!!
So he has this gold robe and the green robe would be in season.. then he said he had a latino robe.. got me thinking.. why not have a spanish inspired ceremony then an asian inspired reception.. colors are Red (I mean RED) and a almost bronze gold.. those work with both...whatcha think?
That or since im having chopsticks as wedding favors I can do little spanish type placecards.. but i am currently CLUELESS on what those would be.. unless i get some terra cotta type holders (old mexican style) made in the shape of the animal each table is.. Im naming my 10 tables after 10 of the animals in the Chinese Zodiac. (leaving out Jim's and Mine which will be on the Bridal table)

Re: Paging all Latin Brides
WOW!!!!!!!!! how original. well I think the two colors definitely go and youshould go ahead with your idea of the spanish ceremony. It'll be a nice way
to incorporate your heritage/background into your wedding. What made
you go with the Asian inspired reception?
