hey gals - updating on the dj. i just spoke with bravura - whom i've read is excellent - but i thought it sounded pricey.

they're basic package for 4 hours dj and mc is $1,800. everything is a la carte, which is nice, but then adding for ch and anything else will take it up to over $2,000.

is this normal? i thought i'd be able to do maybe $1,500, including percussionist (with no other add-ons, ie lights, giveaways, etc).

One more latina bride! I'm Dominican and my FH is 1/2 Dominican and 1/2 Boricua!

Qucik question, is anyone doing las arras (sp?) if so , are you using regular coins or are there special ones?

I am!!! I made final payments to the DJ, The Videographer and Photographer... But I Still have Favors to do

I was driving myself nuts about little details.. but lately I just let it go.... I know the day of the wedding things will fall into place!

i feel so out of it with some traditions. i've never heard of this, so i guess i won't be doing it. but i googled it and got some info so now i know what it's all about.

I am not doing the arras but I am considering doing 'el lazo' - I think it would be a nice way to show the two of us becoming one.

I believe you can get coins from anywhere. Here is some info. I came across:
