I was one of those who had my formative years in the 80's (age 8-18) . I am such a 80's nerd, it's pathetic.

How about:

The song 867-5309 (edited to correct it - Tommy Tutone!);
Gear 'bubble' bags (they were plastic or some pleather material that looked like bubble wrap, say 1985 or 86);
Michael Jackson's Thriller;
Cabbage Patch kids;
Boy George and the Culture Club;
Safey pins you would line with tiny beads and wear on the laces of your sneakers;
We are the World;
Live Aid; etc.

I'm sure I'll think of more later.

No lie I have a mirrored photo of Duran Duran hanging in my apt!! My Fi HATES it!! I (of course) love it!! (It's not as tacky as it sounds)

I have IO cable & they have Classic VH1 & they show alot of 80's music & I'm watching the videos thinking. Why can't they bring that look back!!! Especially when they show the hotty metal guys!!! Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Warrant, Poison, Bon Jovi, and SO many more!! That's when I would date guys who's hair was nicer (& longer) then mine!!

I was thinking next halloween I'm going 80's all the way!!!
