I have had it up to here with her. She is cold heartless and I just cant take it anymore. I am calling all brides to be to come and rant about their FMILs! I am not only the President of this club, I am also a member!
We went to brunch yesterday and proceeded to tell me she had a TERRIBLE time at my shower and that the food was horrible. Ok..yeah, I am not making this stuff up. She also kept looking at my plate at what I was eating. I have lost 15 lbs and I am really proud of that, I am working very hard, so I stuck to my diet yesterday. I had 1/2 of eggplant rollatine and she says 'Is that on your diet' and when I took a bite of my FH Brownie she commented on that too.
Not to even mention that my FH ended up in the ER on Friday b/c his blood pressure was through the roof! Did she call to see if he was feeling better at all this weekend? NO! did she stop by his apartment to see if he needed anything NO! he has to go for all these tests and I am a total mess and she is only concerned if we were going to see her on mother's day!
Anyways the list goes on..so come share stories!!!!
We all need some support here!!
And of course I have to give props to my FH, who sticks up for me ALL the time and puts her in her place (when she says things in front of him, ususally its when he isnt around!)
Love to all! Steph

Re: Starting up 'The Anit-Mother-in-Law' Club
Okay, Okay I got a brand new one. I bought a dress for my daughter to wear to my sisters graduation and I was gonna surprise her with it when I got to FLA. I figured she could also wear it to her brothers confirmation. Well I ordered it back on April 2nd and it never got here so I called the woman yesterday and she emailed me info. today that it was attempted to be delivered twice on April 14th but refused. The Witch wouldnt even sign for it!! It was a chinese dress that I purchased from a distributer in China so it says on the tracking that it could be still in the post office but if not it was sent back(which in all likelyhood it was since it's now May). I leave next friday and have no dress for her. I truly hate this miserable, rotten, vindictive, etc., etc., etc.,of a person.

Some already know my story. But my FMIL just 2 days ago would not give 16 year old sister-in-law 100 bucks to get her bridemaid dress cuz she said she does not approve of this wedding and will not have anything to do with it. BIATCH!! She can get her tit implants and all kinds of surgeries and fancy vacations every month but she cannot spare 100 bucks?!?!? Common now!! And she has brainwashed his whole side of the family and swears that she and the rest of her zoo wont go to our wedding... (which is fine with me cuz now I can invite someone else that I truly care about)
Anyway... FH finally stood up for himself after years of her torment and told her to go screw herself if she would not go. He let her have it and told her never to come into our life again... and she happily agreed.. the witch that she is!
Future mother-in-law?!?!? More like F!#$*N Mother-n-Law!
Tit Implants - this is the BEST thread ever!!! Keeps me laughing all day!!! Keep em coming! I actually sent this thread to my Mom, she was laughing!

Wow! This is pretty funny. My FMIL isn't that bad but it just gets me MAD that FH has done so much for her (long story) and she has not offered ANYTHING for the wedding or for our new house. Just a little frustrating. Lucky for me that I hardly ever see her anymore b/c FH moved into the house. And when I see her I really don't share too much information!!
My FSIL isn't that much better. She has such a bad attitude!

Wow. I think my mom would have joined this club, cept my step-grandma passed away.
She used to call our house telling my step-father (her son) how horrible he was (he bent over backward for her) and how she wishes she had aborted him. She would also say how terrible me and my mother were. Ugh.
I actually like my FMIL most of the time, she is nutty, but she does mean well.
as for FSIL - I love her. She's a sweetie!
Sorry to everyone with the wacky MIL's!

Re: Starting up 'The Anit-Mother-in-Law' Club
Here's the new one...FH has been sick since saturday and he was told that it is rude and inconsiderate of me to visit other peoples house when I am sick. FH attempted to explaint that I am NOT sick but she's convinced that it was MY germs that got her son sick

It's very simple... the key to happy relationships with FMIL I have learned is to keep your distance!

Re: Starting up 'The Anit-Mother-in-Law' Club
I am so joining you girls in this rant! My FMIL is so flaky and doesn't even know it! First, she goes and buys her dress (which is fire engine red) without even asking me about the color. My mom has been waiting weeks for her side of the shower list when I even wrote it out for her! FH confronts his parents and it turns into a war! It's just so fustrating- it helps to know I'm not the only one feeling so incredibly pinned- I need to be decent towrd her for FH, but it's soooooooooooooo HARD!!

Re: Starting up 'The Anit-Mother-in-Law' Club
My FMIL is very good to me..to the point where my mom keeps commenting on it because HER MIL is and always has been a witch to her.
I just wish me and my FSIL were closer. I've been dating her brother for 7 years and I sometimes feel like she doesn't care for me too much.

Re: Starting up 'The Anit-Mother-in-Law' Club
Can I join although FH and I aren't married yet?
Ugh! I don't even know if she is coming to the wedding! FH and her have been estranged for years. Aside from being seriously psycho, I have tried for the past 7 years to be civil, but once she started attacking me and my family all bets were off.

sorry to hear about the not so nice FMILs
Although my FMIL can be naggy, she's a sweet lady and always been nice to me, so no complains here.

Re: Starting up 'The Anit-Mother-in-Law' Club
just a friendly warning:
a past LIW bride didn't give a second thought to coming on here and ranting about MIL and DH family issues....long story short, her DH came on one day to let everyone know that she wouldn't be chatting on here anymore!! apparently a very close family member had been lurking on LIW and READ EVERYTHING she'd written and went back and told the entire FAMILY!! Caused HUGE FAMILY DRAMA!!! so just BE CAREFUL!!
on a personal note: I never got to meet my MIL. She passed away suddenly, just as DH and I began dating.

Re: Starting up 'The Anit-Mother-in-Law' Club
WOW, LAdies, I am sorry to hear about your horror stories. I am lucky to have wonderful future in laws. But it did make me think of an X's mother. She was awful. My list could go on!! But to tell a funny story, she used to speak only Italian to her son in front of me. I always played dumb when she did that. Well, finally, I couldn't take it. She had asked him a question and I proceeded to answer her in ITALIAN. To see her face...PRICELSS!!! She then realized that I always knew what she was saying. I hope it gets better for all of you. Just remember, you are marrying the sons, not their parents. Granted, you all become family, but try and keep it to special occasions. Also, the advice 'Kill them with Kindness,' can go a long way. Good Luck
