Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I knew that they couldn't require you to use one of their florists. It's pretty much illegal to require it. But I did ask them about it and they said the same thing. They require proof of insurance from all vendors ($2 million policies), but I don't think they really look at them. I've got to set up an appointment with J&R sometime soon.

I plan on meeting with Jack & Rose as well. My friend is getting married tomorrow and is using James Cress so I will let you know how they did.

I am also using J&R, he will give you 20% off your total package price because he is a house vendor with WCC

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Has anyone ever actually compared his price for non-WCC brides with the 'discounted' price? Are you sure there's really a discount? Sorry if I sound skeptical, but, well, I'm skeptical when it comes to free things.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Hi girls! I'm another WCC bride and I have to say that I have only heard good things about the place and am very excited about it. Although things might not go exactly as we planned, our day will still be special and wonderful. Ofcourse, none of us using the Garden Room want rain, and I trust we won't get any
but whatever the weather may be, our day will be great. I am working with Peter, and I know that he made us feel so great when we met him, and he is the main reason why we booked the place. He seems to be (and also has a reputation for being) really caring and by your side on that day making sure everything is alright. Jack also seems to be wonderful (I'm also a Jack and Rose bride!) and so with these two wonderful people, we can't go wrong. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
jann-- I thought about the same thing however, what he did for me was throw in a lot of the little extras probaly in place of the discount. Although he did discount actual money on my contract. But I am a skeptic too, and I think they just raise the prices in order to discount you. I do think I got a great price quote, so we went with him.

OK ladies - what's the deal with having music outside for the ceremony and CH? I remember someone saying something about no amplified music. What does that mean? My DJ can't do my ceremony music or CH music? Can someone clarify this for me? As usual, I'm perplexed.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Hi another WCC bride. So excited to find this up today. Well, GREAT news. My FH stopped by WCC today to pick direction cards. We booked our reception in January 2003 and haven't been back since. He said they redid some things and it looked even better then he remembered. I'm so excited. We are using the upstairs room. I liked the idea of looking over the fountains at night. Yeah! Just wanted to say hi!

I'm not sure about the ceremony.. well, I'm not sure about the CH either but when I had booked my DJ, he's played at the Woodbury before and included the cocktail hour music in my contract so I don't think it would be a problem as long as the music is not loud.
I can't wait!! It's coming so fast!!!!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I think that they just don't want loud music playing outside. I would call them and ask.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
When I asked my banquet manager about having music at the outdoor CH she said that we couldn't have anything amplified but we could have a harpist, violin, keyboard. I guess nothing that goes through a speaker. This might not be the same for a ceremony. They probably do it so you don't disturb the other wedding so if you just keep the music low it's probably ok. I would call and ask though i could be totally wrong. (I just remember it cause when she said keyboard we started laughing - all i could think of was Ross from Friends when he played the keyboard
)

Hi there! I booked at Woodbury CC on Saturday! The tasting was amazing! My parents went with us and were totally wowed also. Our date is set for June 3rd 2005. I couldnt be happier and every time I think of the beautiful grounds I get more exited! We are in the Mills room (upstairs) and the indoor cocktail room.

diamondgrlie, my daughter is having hers in the upstairs room also in a little over two months. The time goes so very fast. Enjoy the months ahead. We'llbe posting a review and I'm sure it will be excellent.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Are any of you having the Veniesse hour added on? Someone said they went to a wedding elsewhere and the guests were given the desserts to take home. Does anyone know if WCC does this? They have to throw all leftovers out anyway.Welcome New Vendors
