Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
HI Everyone !!!Congrats to all the WCC Brides !!
I'm very excited and looking forward to all the planning. WCC was one of the first facilities I saw and loved. I saw many others afterwards but somehow did not like the others one as much as this one. And I only heard very good thing about WCC. I'm also very glad that there is a thread for us !!!
And ofcourse, I will have many questions, so I'm hoping all of us can share information. I was glad to read the other posts and found that all of you were very helpful.
And to those of you that are getting married in the next few months, Congratulations, Enjoy and above all, please do not forget to post a review for all of us here !!!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Hi there WCC brides! I was wondering if any of you have pics of the cake that comes with the hall. My banquet manager is Ron, and when I asked about the cake at the tasting he said that they cant do fondant and anything 'extravagant' would be extra money. So what kind of cake is included?

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Hey Ladies,Future WCC bride here planning from ATL. I was just up there last month and the tasting was awesome!!!!!! I mean oh my gosh i would hate to not be able to enjoy that food. There is a 22% chance of rain on my day so pray for me ladies. My fi thinks I am nuts but it is too beautiful to pass up the landscape and the pictures. I can't wait for that day....... Anyone figure out how they are going to do the music for the garden ceremony? I am on the garden floor by the way.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
When I inquired about the cake, they asked just to bring a picture of what I wanted, and they will provide it. I already have a few pics saved too. They also said the fondant is delicious to serve as well and to keep that in mind. I'm still in search for other vendors right now so I will leave this detail for later on but please share if you find out anything else. LI Mom's daughter is getting married in two weeks there. Perhaps you can FM LIMom or her daughter (cantwaitmay04) and they can FM details for you. I'm awaiting for their reviews and hopefully some pics even though I haven't heard one bad review about WCC yet.
So share information if you find out anything Diamondgrlie
ETP: Did you see the albums at the site as well? Some of them had beautiful cakes and well known place and delicious, yummy for cakes who makes them.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Hi frescabride, it's 11 days away and I can't sleep or concentrate on anything non-wedding related! It is just too exciting having a daughter getting married. One good thing though - I've been eating out with my husband and friends, not really being as careful as I should and not getting to the gym either, but today I saw that I lost two more pounds. It MUST be due to the fact tat I'm not sleeping more than 3 or 4 hours a night. So there definitely is an upside to this. The wedding cake my daughter selected will be three or four tiers spaced a few inches apart. The florist will be providing roses to put between the tiers. Their banquet manager suggested this and we are all thrilled with how it's supposed to look. He also said the fondant is beautiful but doesn't taste as good as people think. My daughter is going with his recommendation for buttercream. He's been doing wedding there for over 5 years, so we are trusting his judgement.
If anyone has questions, I will definitely try to help. Everyone here has been so phenomenal to me and I can't wait to reciprocate with our experiences.

I think it's called the mini viennese(?) hour, when they put a plate of different pastries on each table.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I am going back to WCC this weekend to sign/book by wedding. I am going to use the Garden Suite and outside area. Does anyone have any suggestions about things to discuss when I meet with them? Did anyone have a really great Matrie'd that I should ask for? Were flower credits or anything like that included in your package?

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
AS far as our experience went, they didn't want to honor any of our requests for their people. I don't know if they rotate or if you get who is around when you go in.Flowers are not included, but your vendors will get half off their dinner. That's about all the credits I know of.
In case it makes a difference in your case, I want to mention that your deposit is the ONLY payment they accept on a credit card. They didn't tell us this and when we needed to make the first installment in 3 months, that's when we found out it had to be by check. I was so counting on a nice trip with air miles after all the stress over my daughter's wedding! Had I known I would definitely have made the down payment much larger.
You are making an excellent choice and I'll let you know next week-end how it all turned out.
Good Luck.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Congrats on booking! So far, they have been great to work with!We were not able to make any requests for certain people. They said it is a metter of who is up at that time.
LImom - I can't wait to hear reviews and see pics! Best of luck!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Does anyone know how they do their menus at WCC? I am not into doing my own. I am sure they do something like even 1 or 2 menus at each table. Also are you guys just letting them take care of the place cards? I am.
