I cannot wait to get married there. 50 days to go. I am still debating on the programs and the limo. My bm dresses should be in next week. Oh my god this is really happening. Past WCC brides please share everything.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
My daughter booked her wedding in Jan. 2003 and we were invited to go to a tasting that Feb. Being winter and on a week-night, it was very dark outside so it wasn't much help in seeing the grounds. There very well be another in the spring or summer. You should phone and ask. There was an hour long cocktail hour, if I recall correctly, with some stations and the open bar. Then we were told to go upstairs and various vendors had tables set up to advertise their services. They had everyone from limos, tuxes, photographers, florists, etc. It is a good start for anyone who wants general information. Take a notebook, collect business cards, and list prices and what's included. It's hard to remember everything once you leave there. This gives you a basis of comparison when you speak to other vendors you will probably visit on your own before deciding.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I started another thread on this but Ron, my banquet manager at WCC, is gone!!!
The lady there who answered the phone said he had heart problems and needed to get a less stressful job. My new BM will be Dominick. Anyone know of him?

He's working for a different facility?????I've heard good things about Peter but I'm not sure about Dominick. If you hear anything, please let me know. thanks. good luck

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Does anybody have Maria as their BM? When I went to drop off a payment and I told the woman Maria was my BM, she didn't seem to know who I was talking about. I thought maybe she was just new, but now I'm nervous she may have left also!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I have been working with Dominick and I love him. He is like the Italian uncle I never had. BUt seriously, he has been great, everything I have asked about has not been a problem. He has always been available. And is not too pushy. I think you will be very happy.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
You're welcome jam1223.At least it sounds like you girls were told that your BM's left. It took my daughter months to find out Vinnie was gone. She booked in Jan. 2003, and by early summer started making phone calls on various occasions to ask questions him about vendors he recommended. She was just told he was out and although annoyed he never returned her calls, she gave up on him. It wasn't til literally months later, maybe early winter, when my SIL really pushed to talk to him that they were told he left. Through recommendations on these boards, my daughter tried to request someone else by name and she was told they would be assigned someone when they went for their menu selection. It was all handled very poorly, in my opinion.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
I worked with Chad when I booked there and he left too. I wonder if they decided to clean house or something happened. It is very strange. I was told they would assign me someone when we went to do our menu's. I am not worried. They all seemed nice and I am sure they will all be very helpful.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Wow this is getting wierd! Why is everyone leaving???LIMom- To make you feel better, I would have never known if I didnt call to make an appointment with Ron.
I am happy to hear that Dominick is nice. I just dont like that one person said Ron had a heart attack and then someone says he left to go somewhere else.
