One word of advice about Alexandria make sure you reconfirm everything. When we went for our last meeting everything was fine. Then the week of the wedding I wanted her to change the ice sculpture to a shamrock since they said they could do whatever I wanted. I walked into the cocktail hour and there was the standard heart and swans. I got the impression that she didn't know what I was talking about. She was late for our meeting too!

Hey May bride welcome aboard! My bridesmaids are in sage and I am having light purple, cream and light pink roses. It looked so nice. Flower prices were outrageous. I found a good deal at Capobianco's in Glen Cove. Good Luck with your planning.

Thanks those colors sound nice. I was thinking of pink but I wasn't sure what else to put with it. Please post some pictures after your wedding! What are you having in your bo-k?

Moehick- I think we have the same color scheme. I think the colors just look so nice together and they will look nice at Westbury Manor.

Those colors did look great together. In my bo-k I am planning on having cream roses with a few light pink and green ivy around the trim (for St Pats Day).

Wow that is wild. I am not sure if they offer it. Why don't you call your BM?

This thread has been slowing down a bit! Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing? That chocolate fountain is awesome! I am not sure they would have that, but call your BM. If you do a search too you can find companies that make them and could possibly hire someone from outside. I love it, but not sure anyone would let me spend more money to get it since we are having the venetian hour!!!

I love the idea of the chocolate fountain - it will be a hit if you decide to get it. I showed my fiance and he just gave me the 'look' - We are having a venetian hour so its out of the question for me. But it looks sooo Yummy! Maybe I can rent one for Thanksgiving dinner

I need motivation. I feel like I am in a slump. I don't feel like planning anymore.

Tell me about it - there are times when I'm so excited and others when I don't want to hear the words 'so, how's the planning going'. What helps me is taking a break for a couple of weeks - then come back and try and handle only one thing at a time. I often find myself juggling a few things at once - it gets crazy!

I don't want to plan anymore either. I just want it to happen. I think I'm going to take a break until January...I'm too stressed.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I have a lot done, but the one thing I really need to do is go with the bridesmaids to pick out their dress. There are only three of them, but one of them is always complaining about not having money (even though she buys expensive bags and jewelry etc) and I have been searching online for nice dresses under $150.Other than that, we need video and limo and the little things.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
I haven't been on here in a while, running around doing wedding stuff. To give you an update - I made all my changes. I am going tonight to drop off my stuff and give them the last of the money.Apparently, they must have fired Alexandra. I called last week and one minute she is in a meeting with the manager and the next it is her last day.
So tonight I want to go over everthing one more time. So far I have talked to 4 different people, and I am very disappointed with the Westbury Manor. And I'm going to tell them.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)
Well, if they fired the person who was giving you a headache, then things should get better. They have a reputation to uphold, I don't think they will let you be disappointed. Stay calm and smile, you're getting married
