Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Jan05bride - I think you are fine, but you can call and check. I remember reading somewhere that they will honor the menu given to you at your signing or you can select from the new menus that come out since your signing. But it can't hurt to check?

I have a cake question now - if I have a picture of a cake a really like can I give it to WM and have they recreate it? Or can you only pick what is in the two books? Anyone know???

I haven't been there since the summer. Maybe I need to go and bring my parents and let them get a tour

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

JAN I am just as confused, I booked a year ago and got a brochure with differnet menus for each season, but they only had like 3 choices on there and when I went in this weekend and asked Dave for the new menue he said there was no new menu. If one of you girls has it and can scan it will you do so for us confused girls.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I have the same Four Seasons menu as mentioned above. The Four Seasons are all a little different. Some seasons if I remember had the intermezzo and some didn't and things like that.

I think that is the newest menu for the catering hall. The restaurant, on the other hand, changes their menu more often.

The only thing I mentioned earlier was that someone on the knot posted about WM offerring a new add-on about getting seven choices, but I do not know what the deal is with that??

Hope that helps!!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I am starting to think that because I booked a January date and the price was cheaper that I got gyped here ... I only saw one menu (with a list for choice for dinner) but not different menu's I need to straighten this out because I'm getting a little po'd. I don't care if I booked June or January - a menu is a menu and DAVE was the one who told me it's all the same options ... UGH, need to set a time to call and/or go in there and figure this out

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I just got back to my desk and I am trying to keep up with all these posts. The four season's menu that I received had many choices on them and I was told I could pick 4 dinners plus the vegetarian meal. I was also told that I could mix and match the menu's. I will bring the menu's with me tomorrow and can fax them to anyone who wants a copy or just tell you what is on them. I know someone that just booked a wedding at WM about 2 weeks ago and she was given the same menu's as me and told the same thing. I hope this helps.

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Yup, that was what I was told about the Four Seasons. We could mix and match and some things may be seasonal, but for the most part we could have everything from all of the different menus.

Maybe it is not the WM, as much as it is one screwy banquet manager or something. I have always heard good things about Scotto Brothers...

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

I think it's just confusing because of the new menu. I really hope that the BM wasn't trying to give me a less than spectacular menu - in fact I liked the choices on there. I would like 4 choices though if that's what they are offering.
Scotto Bros are known for their weddings & service, I am sure it'll be fine for everyone we just need to verify some things.
Considering I have 13-1/2 months to go, I really can't sweat this stuff yet!
Thanks everyone for thwir help and input!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Girls, TRUST me - don't worry AT ALL about the Westbury Manor - you will have a million other things to worry about WAY before you even get to choose your menus - the entire WM staff was amazing to me and all my guests! Just focus on getting your dresses, BM dresses, flowers, invitations, limos, tuxes, favors, etc. The WM are PROS- your reception will be flawless!

Re: Westbury Manor-Brides (We decided to make this our official thread)

Tanbride- Thanks for your reassurement. I have always heard great things about the WBM but I was starting to get nervous about the whole Menu thing.

I do not have the Four Seasons menu. I forget the name but it starts w/ an A I'll need to look again. I'll have to call and make sure we get the latest choices too :)

Actually, I hope they come out with yet another menu and that it has the CHOCOLATE Fountain on it. Can you tell I am obsessed with the CF? I want to get one.

Edited to say I have the Aspen brochure

Here it is again!!
Yummy!!

Yummy! Everytime I see the chocolate fountain I love it even more. I may try and convince FI, but I think I am up against a losing battle since we have the venetian hour!!
