And now there appears to magically be a bride that was married early this year that had never commented on anything before that he.only comments are raving about that vendor......hmmmm think it's someone from the company too???

We have a right to be honest with one another no??? Don't you want to know of someone had a bad experience with a specific vendor??? That's not right that a vendor can get a bride neg comments deleted!!!

Agreed. This 'bride' has done nothing but post about that vendor on every board and old posts going back to months ago. Fishy fishyyyy...

There is a couple from that vendor that did have a wedding with them on their date(after checking out the vendor's site). Could be a real bride just coming on to rave about them.

Someone asked about a vendor I had a bad experience so I told her about it. Advised her to not use them. I was detailed about how rude and unprofessional they were though....anyway I go back and it's gone!! Clearly they complained about it to long island weddings and had it removed. Which isn't right. We have a right to ask and a right to give honest opinions!!
Then ironically out of no where there is a bride that just got married and only had a hand full of posts and guess what it is all about that one vendor and how wonderful they were on her wedding.....

Okellies maybe you are right it could be a real bruise but just seemed very ironic.

This is LIweddings only downfall. The forums and testimonials section are meant for sharing information, good and bad. I would be fine if it were like Yelp, where a business owner could respond to give equal time, but removing it altogether isn't right.

I think this is why ladies have to FM each other about anything 'touchy,' quotes, honest (aka bad) reviews and more.

Maybe this is why the facebook group exists, so we can discuss these things openly and honestly without fear of censorship.

It's totally possible that that's a real bride. But it's also possible that the vendor asked LIWeddings to remove the negative review then asked the bride (could have been a friend of the owner, friendly with the staff, whatever the case) to come on here and rave about them. The timing of it is a little too coincidental to be unrelated. Specifically, *I* used that vendor. While they were good and so far I've been satisfied with the service I've received, I'm definitely not on here raving about them every chance I get (and posting about nothing else). They're not *THAT* good.
Either way, the fact of the matter is, I don't think it's fair that only positive reviews are allowed to be posted. Granted, I've found a lot more positive reviews than negative, but it doesn't change the fact that if someone had a bad experience with a vendor, they should be allowed to talk about it.

I always wondered why people sent fm for quotes. I know I've sent fm bc I got into a fight with a bride for saying something bad about a venue and it's she she had her engagement party. She said that's not right to say. So I started fm people to avoid conflict like that.....but I don't have time for bs so ijust posted what I felt was necessary based on my experience!

I definitely know what you are talking about! All of a sudden there was a rave about a vendor and all of these posts took over the first page of this board. I saw your original post as well and it should not have been deleted. Brides come here for honest reviews that they trust.
