Re: Do You Ever Get a Little Jealous...

no i am not jealous of bigger and better weddings. i was grateful enough to have the families pay for it. it was a limited budget, but i made it work and i am proud that i was able to do it.

i am jealous of those that had vineyard weddings. i always wanted that, but it was way out of budget and it was far from the church (massapequa). i wasnt going to sacrifice getting married in the church i grew up with, b/c that was the most important part of the wedding.

Honestly, no. I do not have that 'keeping up with the jones'' mentality. My wedding was exactly what I wanted it to be.

Nope - not me - my wedding was PERFECT!!!

Jealousy is the most useless emotion...

Same here. Although Liza, my wedding might have been more perfect.

Re: Do You Ever Get a Little Jealous...

you see, its weird b/c i cant justify spending $70,000 plus on a wedding, but if that is an amount that people can roll with, then by all means..
I am spending about $35,000 and i dont want to spend any more than that! If my salary was 6 digits, it would be a different story.
I am already going a little above my means, so it doesnt hurt when i see people throwing grand weddings

Re: .

i have to say its more envious then jealous. i think its normal to say that if you had the $$ you would do what so and so did.

its when it becomes an obsession, that is where the problem lies
