Ok well for a couple of months now, our plan was to go to vegas and then tahiti. But I have always been concerned that we wouldn't have alot to do in tahiti. The problem with Fh and I is that we don't like to lay out in the sun, after 20 mins he gets antsy and bored, and i can do maybe an hour. Tahiti is great for people who do love laying out in the sun relaxing.
So anyways i was talking before with FH about a tahiti honeymoon review i read on here yesterday and how beautiful it looked, and then mentioned the few restaurants but the whole not much to do thing came up again. He said to me that he also has been concerned about this and thinks there wont be alot for us to do. So i saw it as a great opportunity to throw Europe in the convo, which i had done before but he always had no interest and he said yes ... I brought up going to Capri, and a few places in Italy and the greek islands, and he said we should consider this I think for us its more of our speed, theres lots to do, a big nightlife especially in greece. Plus I love history and these are two great places to go for that.
I still think tahiti is absolutely gorgeous, but for us i think this is a better option. Plus capri, and greek islands should be gorgeous too lol...Ive also always wanted to go to the french riviera so ill just have to look into all these places

Denise that sounds like a great trip. FH and I have not gotten that far yet! Good for you!
well dont know when we'll actually book it, i might wait a little bit to do that
I got ya. We have to start looking into HM locations and prices. We havent done it, although FH says he wants to go tropical.
yeah for now you can just narrow down places...look at time of year youre going, which place has the best weather...if its hurricane season you know which places to cross off the list...activities and type of hm you are looking to have.

I really wanted to go to the French Polynisian Islands as well, but FH WONT, I think he is kinda scared to tell you the truth, hahahah and the Galapagos islands but he wont go there either. But one day I will go to these places, one day bec it is def something that I have to see in my lifetime. I am thinking of going with my sister to the Galapagos Islands bec she is crazy about that place just like I am anyways that will come later in life, you can always go there anytime.
So my FH wants to go to Europe, South of France, he even said to me Italy, I was shocked, bec I thought he wouldnt want to go there, Paris, Amsterdam and bec we go every year to Greece we will prob go to an island there we havent been to yet.
Denise you and your FH will absolutely love Greece and her islands OMGGGGGGG, the things you can do there. Nightlife is beyond INSANE, there are soo many activites you can do there like snorkelling, boating, diving, water sports and air sports etc etc. Bora Bora and those islands are nice but Greece is really nice too and def closer. Europe just has soooo much history to it, Greece, Italy, Barcelona, Amsterdam etc. Capri is sooo nice, when my dad was on the ships he went to Capri he always talks about how nice it is there. and the South of France was my FH's idea, I wouldnt mind going, I have seen pics and my friends have been there and its also beautiful. WOW I wrote alot
Yeah I definitely think we would love it, its gorgeous, know so many people who have went, well as you know im from astoria so almost everyone i know went to greece all the time lol. It is alot more our speed, im also european so i know the lifestyle there. The history part is big to me too, i love going to see all these place you always learned about, and seeing historical monuments. Yeah i hear so much about capri, his family absolutely loved it.
Well sounds like your FH has alot of great plans for your HM.
Ill def have to get suggestions from you about greece before we go, hott places to hit up
I defintely want to see the historic sites as well. His mom made a good point to us, she said to go to Europe while we are childless, because once we have kids we'll be stuck in the US for a long time. She thinks while we are young and energetic, we should take advantage of going to Europe for a 2 week vacation.

yeah i wanna stay at these places a little longer and get the full experience...one day i would like to do the cruise though...The hotels in capri and Monaco are absolutely amazing, so figure whynot go all out for the HM. In capri the balconies right on the cliff with the views are breath taking

Yup! I saw a 12 day cruise that you are at a few places for 1-3 days each...seems nice. I am not sure about the long flight..I don't think I can handle it and that's why we are looking into Sandals now. I'm really not a good plane person for more than 4 hours : (

That's great. We've been discussing the HM too. Originally we were going to do sandals then I was thinking tahiti or hawaii. But those are expensive. I'd like to visit other cities because we always go to museums and things anyway and it would be fun to roam around another city. Who knows. RIght now we can't agree.

that is so great - you are going to love it!
if you DO want some 'down time' i recommend Ischia it is a beautiful and quiet island - mostly Europeans go there and it is close to Capri if you want to check out the nightlife
Ischia specializes in 'healing' hotels - lol that is not what they are called BUT that is what i call them - they have hotels with spa treatments - hot tubs- cold plunge pools - health food etc. i loved it there i wish i went there with FH instead of a bunch of rowdy college kids LOL

dont get alot of sleep the night before to guarantee youll sleep on the plane. But regardless these are night flights and youll be up from the morning, by the time it starts getting late you will be exhausted, otherwise youll be up for over 24 hrs.

Re: YAY FH is considering Europe
That is AWESOME!
FH and I are most definitely going to Italy - his idea! And his reasoning - when else are we going to take two weeks off?? Why waste them on an island - when we can do that in a week? Plus we had no desire to go to Hawaii or Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc... So it would definitely have been wasteful for us...
I hope you convince him to go - it definitely sounds more your speed!
