On the gondola ride at the Venetian in Las Vegas. My whole family made the trip out there because they all knew about it except for me.

One the top of the ferry that goes from Nantucket to Cape Cod. We were there on vacation, and he could not find anywhere that he liked to propose on Nantucket. As we got on the ferry, we went up to the deck, and the harbor was all lit up. He handed me a card he had written in b.c he was afraid he would forget all the nice things he wanted to say

and when I opened the card, on the inside it said, now close your eyes- and when I opened them, there he was with the ring

I still grin like an idiot thinking about it over a year later. It was the most romantic moment of my life.

In my kitchen

He got me flowers and I was putting water in the vase and unwrapping the flowers. The ring was attached by a ribbon to the red rose.

A little romantic garden restaurant in the West Village called Grove. His parents had sent over 1985 Vintage champagne ahead of time. The whole restaurant was clapping. Waitressing were crying and people asked if they could kiss me for good luck. I couldn't eat a thing!

His orginal plan was to take me to One If by Land, Two if By Sea.... but 9/11 changed all that.

He did have a plan- dinner to a place special to us, but couldn't wait! so excited he showed up w/ roses, champagne- champagne glasses and the box and asked in my apartment

He was so nervous, he opened the box backwards

LMAO Dubliner!!! I was annoyed at FH too because we were going out to dinner and he was supposed to come to pick me up at 6pm and he came at 5:50. I was like, doesn't he know that I have 10 minutes left!!

Well I kind of have 2. The first was in the bedroom of his apartment, then after he had the ring reset (it was my grandmothers and he wanted to change the setting with me) he proposed on the beach in Belle Harbor

OK my turn....in our apartment right after I had been sick with mono for a month. We were playng Scrabble and he put the ring in the tile bag. I picked out a diamond ring instead of a letter and was like 'what the F@#!??' Then he got down on one knee and proposed.
