Reading this thread is making me sad/angry...
I didn't get ANY extras. I thought i got a good deal on the Per person price, but still...
my cocktail hour is an hour... i wanted it to start a half hour earlier b/c i have a large gap between my ceremony and reception but they said no.
i'm a friday bride...
i'm getting sick thinking about all the stuff i'm 'missing out on'
i didn't get any extras either! Is it our date or something?!

I think it's all about what you asked for when you signed the contract, or what you talked about before signing. I had asked for a free night at the inn because i was told I'd get it but now I am not because it's a Sat. wedding not a Sunday ... and so maybe that's why they gave me the free viennese trays? I think that is all I am getting for free. They said they would put wine on the tables too, so that guests don't have to get up to get it ... I don't think I've ever seen that at a wedding, but I think they give that to everyone .. not sure .. but they aren't really giving me anything, since the people would just get it at the bar anyhow.

My understanding is that they do the wine on tables for everyone which is nice!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Yeah I think the extras have to do with a little bit of luck and a little bit of asking for things....also have to think that if you are having a larger wedding, they might be more inclined to throw more in for you.I have also heard that if you are off season and one of the first to book, you get more because for example they have no weddings scheduled that weekend at all and need to fill up their calendar (heard this from a photog but would think the same would apply here).
Good idea about after party at the restuarant - would love to hear the answer!

I think the restaurant will be closed by 1. We are probably going to get a shuttle service to take people to the town of Huntington after the wedding, so long as it's not a ton of money.

Does anyone know how many menus the fox hollow prints up? is it one / two per table or one per person? If it's not one per person, I think I will make my own.
They do have enough for one per person.
Thanks. Do you remember if they put one on each plate or in front of the plate so that each guest sees it when they get to the table? (I hope they are not in a pile on the table .... )
Set up next to the place setting. When everyone enters the room, the appetizer is already set up.

Executive Inn Policy -
They room block in groups of 10. They offer a free shuttle to all guests!!!!!!
Here's how it works. My wedding is on January 20th. I have blocked rooms for that weekend & she gave me cards to put in the invites. The 10 rooms have to be filled by December 20th.
When my guests call to reserve, they are told the rate - which is on the card that Jessica gave. They are also told that if the block isn't filled - the rate reverts back to the normal rate. They will be told what rate they will be paying upon check in.
If you fill at least half - or depending on the month, she's more flexible - if i'm at 4 instead of 5...it's okay...you are fine. You do NOT pay the remaining rooms - the rate simply reverts back to regular price.
They offer free breakfast on weekdays and the rooms are very cute! There is no charge for OOT boxes- they will not be put in the rooms - they will be given at check in.
As I said - Jessica is a DOLL! Loved all of my contact with her!

Nice, thanks. I think we are staying at the Inn next door ... maybe not though ... might be easier to stay where most of our guests are staying ... and cheaper ... I just wanted my wedding night hotel stay to be in a really beautiful place -- I am sure the executive inn is nice, though.
Only the Executive Inn gets the shuttle. And the rooms are not that small. My guests had after parties in them.

For the appetizer... I think it depends what you get for the appetizer. We did the combo plate thing and they don't set that out. They don't serve them until everyone is seated and what not. So I assume that the menus were on the plate?

I don't know!! I'm still a bit 'miffed' that they said I could change my room to the WGP if I wanted to. Seeing as though you'd been booked there for MONTHS!

They put one menu at each place setting. The menus do not have names and dates on them any more. At first they showed me one that had names and date and then at my wedding they just had my menu. I asked and they said that they dont put names or date on them anymore.

Well they best be.....because it's written in my contract.
I made sure EVERYTHING was in writing.

I was upset myself. Make sure when you go see Jennifer for your menu that you tell her you want your name and date. I did not even know that they stopped doing this till my wedding day.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
My wedding ended at 12 and it was closed. they said it is never opened past 11pm. My mom tipped the bartender $100 bill and he gave us juices and a few different bottles of liquer. My bridal attendant put it in bags and carried it over to the hotel for us. Since they dont let you bring alcohol in the hotel, they never questioned her. We then had a bit of an after party out of my parents room. We did not stay to long because we where so tired by the time it was all over.

Any one know if they allow rose petals or anything of that nature to be tossed after a ceremony?
TIA
Anyone??
I almost doubt it since you don't go outside between the ceremony and recweption if you are doing both at the hall.

Ya I'd be mad too! That was a total lie! Have you talked to them about that since- maybe they will give you something to make up for it.
