Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Thanks for the advice ladies. There are 2 outdoor ceremony sites?? I'm in the WGP room and they only showed me the outdoor site that's located right in between the building and the Inn (near the car entrance to Fox Hollow). Is there some secret site that they're hiding from me? haha

Depending on what room you have, you only have access to certain areas of the facility. Other brides use the other parts. So, the WGP brides use the outdoor ceremony area right next to the inn - the one I talked about before. I didn't even know there was another ceremony site ... there's no reason to know, really, since you can't use it.

Is this it? There are tons of pics on this thread, starting on page 14 or 15 .. I haven't looked past page 16 yet so I do not know if there are pics of the indoor ceremony rooms decorated. I am going to keep looking now!
Didn't have time to read all the posts either but there is some useful info there.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
On that old thread I posted a link to above, the girls talk about the watermill cakes and on the watermill's site they have some photos. Does anyone know if their cake options are the same as the fox hollow's? The ones on the watermill website are really old fashioned, I think, except for one or two ... I hate the tiers (the plastic tier separators).Anyone know? I saw the book of cake pics briefly on one of my visits there but I don't really remember it ...

Reading this thread is making me sad/angry...
I didn't get ANY extras. I thought i got a good deal on the Per person price, but still...
my cocktail hour is an hour... i wanted it to start a half hour earlier b/c i have a large gap between my ceremony and reception but they said no.
i'm a friday bride...
i'm getting sick thinking about all the stuff i'm 'missing out on'
i didn't get any extras either! Is it our date or something?!
I think it's all about what you asked for when you signed the contract, or what you talked about before signing. I had asked for a free night at the inn because i was told I'd get it but now I am not because it's a Sat. wedding not a Sunday ... and so maybe that's why they gave me the free viennese trays? I think that is all I am getting for free. They said they would put wine on the tables too, so that guests don't have to get up to get it ... I don't think I've ever seen that at a wedding, but I think they give that to everyone .. not sure .. but they aren't really giving me anything, since the people would just get it at the bar anyhow.
i'm getting the trays and a free room and the wine plus i got to more stations at the cocktail hour!

Really random question, but does anyone know if Fox Hollow will allow you to bring your dog? I’m a total wierdo, I know. It would only be outside.

My FH totally wants our dog to be in the ceremony. Problem is, she is a pit bull - an incredibly sweet, adorable one - but I do not think my guests would appreciate it, and I don't think the Fox Hollow will either.
Something tells me the Fox Hollow would say no to any dog.
Anyone know??

Do I need something? Someone posted a thread about this and I was like EFFIN CRAP something else I need to buy or do or think about. I thought maybe just groups of votives ... but will that look cheap or dumb???

They do decorate for the ceremony, it's included in the ceremony fee, but you really have no say in what they decorate with unless you want to shell out more $$. I believe they provide small floating rose centerpieces for the cocktail hour.

Does anyone know the deal the FH gives you if you use their house officiant? I remember there is some kind of deal, like $$ off the ceremony fee or something, but I just can't remember what it is.
TIA.
They told me it would cost $350 to use their house officiant.

No $$ off if you use him??? I think a lot of officiants are in the $350 range -- I wouldn't use him only for this price, I think that there a lot out there for this price. If I liked him, fine ... but I could have sworn that there was a discount on the ceremony fee if we used their officiant. I'm an idiot, too, cuz I was JUST HOME FOR LUNCH and I could have looked at my contract.
UGH.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
anyone get the mini viense thrown in?I did but I'm confused. . .is it just trays on the tables or is it actually stations? I remember when we booked I had David write down what it included and I'm almost positive he wrote down: 3 stations:
pastries and cookies
puddings and fruit
chocolate dipping station
and what's the difference betweent he chocolate dipping station and the fountain. . .or are they the same?

I am getting trays thrown in .... I didn't even ask for it and would rather have something else (like the seafood station at the CH but I know the costs aren't the same). I think what you are getting is different.
The chocolate fountain is where chocolate is flowing from a hot 'fountain' like object. The dipping station sounds to me like there's a bowl of melted chocolate (probably with a sterno underneath to keep it hot??) and things people can dip into it. Probably tastes exactly the same, but some people would think the fountain is prettier. (I wouldn't care which I had, personally, if I had wanted it.)

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
thanks for the response!
My other question is, is the chocolate fountain included in the full vienese? and do you think if we upgraded to the full vinese that they would give us credit for the mini which was thrown in?

When I was there last week, they told me that if you use the chapel they provide the decorations, and they have decorations for the Cocktail hour. The only CPs you need is the reception hall
