Hi....Im a Fox HOllow Bride!! Woo HOo!!Actually, we haven't decided on Rehearsal dinner. WE want something low key b/c I did not want to take away from the big wedding day...Plus, I want my out of town guest to see fox hollow for the first time at my wedding. I went to a wedding where the rehearsal dinner was just as formal and slightly smaller as the wedding itself. I was so tired on her wedding day.

That's exactly what I was thinking....I wouldn't want anyone to see Fox Hollow until the wedding day. And I also want to have something small....I technically don't really even need to have a Rehearsal Dinner, since I am getting married at the hall, but I'd like to have one anyway.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
The Seventh Street Cafe sounds like a good idea. We are doing something in NYC for the rehearsal dinner, because we have a ton (almost two-thirds) of out of town guests, many of which have never even been to the city. We are going to find a small, cozy place because like you guys we don't want the RD to be just as nice and formal as the reception.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Okay, here's another question to keep this thing going
How many of you are staying at the Inn the night before and/or the night of? I am doing both - the night before my BMs are going to stay with me...

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
We are definitely staying there the night of. I don't think we are getting a bridal suite - although it's not much more $ than a regular room, we just don't feel we need the champagne and chocolates and fake rose petals.I stayed at the Inn recently, and although it is beautiful, it was not a $250 room. I don't really understand why it's so expensive. Even our 'discounted' group rate for the weekend is $199, which FH's family (from OOT) has already said they are not willing to pay.
I have no idea what we're doing the night before. I hadn't even thought about this yet!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Only reason I'm staying at the Inn the night before is because I live with my FH and my Mom's house is too far from Fox Hollow to stay there. Plus I thought it would be nice to have one last night with my BMs.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
i'm a fox hollow bride too. my wedding is 10/23/04 and i really can't wait.we haven't figured out the rehearsal dinner yet, but that is mostly up to my future in laws, they are hosting it. I am pretty flexible about that as long as the food is good.
as far as the hotel, we are staying that night along with my parents, his parents, my brother, and most of our out of town guests. i liked it for the convenience and most of my guests were willing to spend the money for it. it is also nice because they have a full breakfast in the morning so we are just going to stay there instead of going for brunch somewhere else.
considereing that i have paid over 100 dollars for crappy hotels around, i think that this one is beautiful. the rooms are gorgeous and it is always kept nice.
editted to say:
is the discounted rate you said for the bridal suite? that is how much it is costing us for it. the rooms for guests were 179 or 189 depending on if it was a suite or a one bedroom suite.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I believe it was $199 for the Bridal Suite and something like $179 for the guest suites.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I booked with Mel the same day I went to look, and I had only looked at one other place. My FH and I just really fell in love with the rooms...everything was so beautiful and tasteful.
