Deanna - I meant to say something last night, but I forgot. The Fox Hollow was decorated for Christmas and it looked SOO PRETTY. I'm a little jealous that it won't be decorated for my wedding, but thrilled that it will be for both yours.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

So...I ordered my invites through PWP. I sat with the girl for an hour and 40 mins while she ordered my invites the first time. When I got my first proof there were many errors on it from her inputting. We were required to PAY $25 for a second proof because of the errors she made.

My mom calls me Tuesday night on my way home from FH's house to tell me she has a surprise for me. When I got home and saw the box from the invite company, I was SOO excited. It made me feel like it was real and getting so close. However, when I opened the boxes, the colors of the layers on my invitations were WRONG!! I was soo upset. After much consideration, I decided that they weren't so bad and I would keep them, but I still wanted to be compensated. It was PWP's error, i found out after talking to them and they decided to throw in the chair sashes that i wanted but wasn't willing to pay for if i agreed to keep the invites the way they were. So, in the end they did their best to make up for their mistake.

The moral of my story is that while I have heard great things about their DOC services (which I have booked), I did encounter several problems while ordering my invites. If you are thinking about using them for invitations, just make sure you are on top of them when ordering. In the end, we got a decent price, a certificate for upgrades, a nice invitations and chair sashes. They did what they could to make it right. I just wanted to let you other Fox Hollow brides know who have not yet ordered invites.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Hi girls, so when I booked w/ Fox Hollow in October they signed me up for the Tea Party, but I couldn't make it. I called to reschedule but they only seem to do them on Tuesday nights...I work in Manhattan and live in Astoria and don't have a car, so I can never get there. They said I could have a private meeting with them, but I just haven't scheduled it. Is this something I really should go to? Thanks!

They do give you some good information, vendor information and a checklist. However, none of it is information that you couldn't get here. HTH!

Hmmmm...tough call - i've never gone to one, but that's just me... Maybe wait until the new year - they may change their schedule - ya know? Maybe move from Tuesdays to Thursdays or something....

wow you girls replied in record time! i have the list of vendors that they gave me during my initial meeting with fox hollow. AND i do feel like everything i need to know about vendors is right here on this board. i've still got a ton of time until my wedding so maybe one night down the line i'll be able to make it. I'm glad i'm not missing any vital information though! Thanks

I didn't get in the WGP at all. Sorry. All I saw was the lobby areas, but Richard and his crew did a great job.

As I'm reading other posts, I remembering other things from my meeting last night. Fox Hollow provides table numbers in picture frames for those who don't want to make their own.

I was just on the phone with him this morning and he was crazy busy. I got some good advice on dealing with him from one of the BMs, treat him like the artist he is. I have learned that when he is ready to work with you he gives you his full attention and creates beautiful things, which may be extremely frustrating, but he also said to me that his only focus is your wedding once your day is near. I booked him because the arrangements in Fox Hollow are always so stunning. When i talked with him today he asked if I could wait until after the new year to recontact him, which was ok for me, but might be more of a concern with your wedding being in early February. I agree that he is not easy to work with, I'm just trying following the guidance of the BM and it's keeping me much saner.

I didn't ask to see the frames, but I think that she said that they were plain with script numbers. I think she said that they were silver, but I really don't remember. Sorry.
