richard cancelled my sample for the 3rd time because he was decorating for the holidays
i understand that, but shouldnt he have known he was going to be busy???

I was just on the phone with him this morning and he was crazy busy. I got some good advice on dealing with him from one of the BMs, treat him like the artist he is. I have learned that when he is ready to work with you he gives you his full attention and creates beautiful things, which may be extremely frustrating, but he also said to me that his only focus is your wedding once your day is near. I booked him because the arrangements in Fox Hollow are always so stunning. When i talked with him today he asked if I could wait until after the new year to recontact him, which was ok for me, but might be more of a concern with your wedding being in early February. I agree that he is not easy to work with, I'm just trying following the guidance of the BM and it's keeping me much saner.

I totally agree. The sample he made for me was incredible but he is very difficult to get in touch with. He was suppossed to email me in September with something...everytime i go to PWP and see him he's like 'I will email it to you..just haven't gotten there yet!!' He does beautiful work though!

i understand all of that
however, the sample he made me in may was NOTHING like we had discussed or the pics he sent me
then the sample i was going to see on black friday was NON EXISTENT
i got there after he called 2 days before to confirm and he showed me a picture! that is NOT what i call a sample

I do have faith in his work for the actual day, but I was NOT happy

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

side note - i got a reply from Jenn about the table numbers...

I don't have a picture, but they are 4x6 antique gold picture frames with numbers in script and the fox hollow logo on top inside the picture frame.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Hey- I had my meeting two nights ago! It went pretty well. We were supposed to meet with Jenn, but when we got there they said they were having us meet with lindsey instead. She has been very helpful! It was fun picking out menu and linen stuff!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Richard is definitely hard to plan with, but it is true that he does great work. As your wedding gets closer he will give you everything you need. My other vendors were pretty great, so some of his flakiness was frustrating, but when it came down to it I had beautiful flowers, and he was very flexible with my changes. Sorry that you have to go through this though.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Insurance question. I don't want to ask Jennifer since I don't want to hear the answer. I have a vague recollection about the need for the vendors to have some time of liability insurance, but I throw away the piece of paper with the details. My photographer is a retired professional who is a friend of the family, does anyone know what kind of insurance he would need.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

i think that if your vendors dont have insurance, you'll have to sign a waiver of liability for the Fox Hollow is how i understood it.

this is from the vendor policy sheet they gave me...
any services retained by you for your affair must provide us with a certificate of insurance at least 25 days prior to the affair. ........all service providers must maintain the following insurance coverage...Comprehensive General Liability Insurance on standard 1993 or later ISO form at limits of $1,000,000 per occurence/$2,000,000 aggregate;Products/Comp.Ops.,$1,000,000; Fire Damages, $50,000; Medical Expense, $5,000; Umbrella Liability, $1,000,000; Statutory Workers Compensation to statutory limits as per New York State Law

hope that helps. The (...) shows were I left out some info that i didn't think pertained to the answer of your question.
