Congratulations Deanna!! I'm glad you had an amazing day!

I'm starting to get nervous about the Fox Hollow cake...anyone else? Deanna's was wrong, Shorty's was wrong!! What is everyone doing..going with the Fox Hollow's cake or going elsewhere?

My cake came out looking lovely, and tasting delicious! In fact, we got a number of comments about how yummy our cake was (whipped cream outside, chocolate cake, banana pudding filling).

Your cake is so cute! I love the square ones. Glad to see someone whose cake worked out. I guess you paid for the flowers? Or was that thrown in? Looks great. I think I want to get the flowers too.

Sorry for the Cross post, i'm new and got confused:

Hi All,

I booked my wedding at the Fox Hollow for November 2008. I've been reading reviews, and it seems like I made a good choice. I'm a little nervous about the number of people the Winter Garden room can hold comfortably. We were told it does 150-166, but has anyone actually done the 12-top tables with 150-160 guests?

The configuration we were given was 14 12-top tables, with one of them being a 10-top.

Was the dance floor too small?
Were the tables smooshed together?

I'm freaking out a little bit, and hoping I didn't pick too small a venue.

Thanks,
Jane

hey date and hall twin :) Are you a day or night wedding?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

7:15, but my ceremony isn't in the garden pavilion - i have to look and see where it is.... it's at home in the contract.

i know my cocktail hour is 1:15minutes, and the reception ends at 1:15am.

I'll look and post the times.
At the very least, it's nice to be introduced. I think this way if our guests run into each other, at least I'll know whose wedding it is.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

girls who blocked rooms at the executive Inn - did they give you a problem with sending you directional cards?

I blocked 20 rooms and they sent me only 30 cards - i had to lie and say that I lost the original 30 in order for them to send me more and now I just called again because I STILL don't have enough and they said that they will not send any more

how the hell can I gaurantee that my guests are going to book a room if HALF OF THEM won't have a directional card that states all the booking information on it!!!!!!!!!!!!

excuse me but I am FUMING right now.

and yes I COULD just photocopy them, BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!

they do only give you a certain amount...that's true - but i think every place is like that....the fox hollow only gives you a certain amount too...

i'm so sorry!!!!

What i did was take them to kinkos and had copies made. I have a BUNCH extra - and was just about to ask if you wanted them, but they have our names on them - so never mind!

thanks for trying to help I do appreciate it. I wrote that right after I got off the phone with them and I was REALLY aggravated mainly because I know the Wingate which is now La Quinta gives as many as you want without question - which makes sense cause wouldn't you need one for every invitation?

I'm going to bring one to work tomorrow and have a friend help me do a double sided photo copy of it. I only need about another 50 or so, so it shouldn't be TOO bad

If you can do it yourself - go for it - but our printer at work is good - but not great. I think Kinkos was like 10 bucks for 50 of them...so if all else fails - go for it!

I only sent hotel thingies out to my guests who were from out of town...not to everyone...i guess it depends on how you roll..

yea see we don't really have any 'out of towners' but our reception isn't ending until 2 am and I'm hoping people will opt to stay over instead of leaving early.

question... when they say 'linens' does that inc. chair covers?

Unfortunately for some (depending if you want them), it doesn't. Chair covers are $5 a chair.

What room are you in? I am in the WGP and I actually like the chairs in there, so I am not even considering it. Some don't like those chairs, so it depends.

i love the chairs in the WGP but we are in the Garden Terrace since we'll be having over 200. i have to call and ask. i dont care about the chairs for the CH in the the briar fox its the ugly burgundy chairs in GT I'm worried about. lol.
