Melissa - was your cake delicious? And I have to say that i LOVE that DH was trying to eat it! Dave will too - i'm almost positive!
It was Yummy. We had yellow cake with fresh strawberries and mocha cream inside. But to be honest after all the yummy food and dessert I didn't really have much of my cake because I was too full.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I want to create a drink menu to put on the bar during the cocktail hour and the reception. When i spoke with lindsey she said i could do this and to just email her drinks I was thinking of to make sure they are equipt to make them. So i do that and i just get an email back saying that they won't let me do that unless I pay $500 for a martini bar!!!!! Half the drinks are not martinis! And it says on my friken contract premium open bar!!!!!! I don't understand why i can't just create a menu of drink specials to give guests an idea of what to order!!!!!??? Im so livid!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I wrote back to her asking for them to send me a list of what exactly is available at the bar and Im going to make a drink menu anyway. It says on my contract that we have a premium open bar. It doesn't say anywhere that they will only make certain drinks. I doubt if someone orders a vodka and cranberry that they will tell them it is extra money!

Congratulations Deanna!! I'm glad you had an amazing day!
I'm starting to get nervous about the Fox Hollow cake...anyone else? Deanna's was wrong, Shorty's was wrong!! What is everyone doing..going with the Fox Hollow's cake or going elsewhere?
My cake came out looking lovely, and tasting delicious! In fact, we got a number of comments about how yummy our cake was (whipped cream outside, chocolate cake, banana pudding filling).
Your cake was very pretty and I'm glad it tasted good...that makes me feel a little bit better! Thanks!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Sorry I got confused again - cross Post :(For all soon-to-be brides that may or may not be freaking out about the number of guests they're having and the size of the WGP I bring numbers!
The square footage of the WGP is 2646ft
12 top tables are 72'
The size of the WGP minus the dance floor is about 52' x 30'
and the dance floor is about 33’ ½ X 20’
The WGP schematic says that it should fit 156 people for a sit down dinner with a dance floor fine.
I'm a little more relaxed, but would still like to see an event in there with 150 people.

Bridal Suite
Anyone have any idea how early I may be able to get into the bridal suite if my ceremony starts at 730?

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
OK, I'm considering a separate picture location before the ceremony but I wanted to ask on here. I believe it's been mentioned and I did a search but there was just so many posts to go through. How does it work with the picture locations? Are you really confined to the specific picture area or can you use all the gardens? Day time it limited that time of year so I'd like to make sure I can get the outdoor shots done before the ceremony. And I hope I can get plenty outdoor shots.

i believe depending on which room you have as your reception room - you are limited to a specific garden... as i'm in the WGP, i have access to the front pond thing and the carriage up front as well...
it would also depend (i think) on if there is another wedding on your day...

Thanks Jess
To be honest i will pay the extra (within reason). i will skip the chair covers or any add ons to get to enjoy the cocktail hour food. After all the money & planning i want to at least taste the food !!
thanks again sweetie !!

Absolutely not (about the charging)! My Bridal Attendant brought up a little bit of every single thing they had at the Cocktail Hour, and even all the passed around stuff, too!

There were drinks on ice in the photo studio, and I think there may have been food, too (it's a bit fuzzy). They are super accomodating - to be honest, it didn't even occur to me to ask about all these things. I just showed up and they took care of everything!
