Hi ladies! How are you all? Boy, this is a great thread. Althouhg I have been on Li weddings for some time now(Brides helping brides forum only) I recently found out this thread was here, so this is my first time writing!! I was wondering if any of you can help us. We are going to Tahiti for 18 days for our honeymoon this May, and although our honeymoon is booked, we were trying to find specific room numbers that someone knew of , that were in a great location--either good view, secluded, nice beach area..basically whatever you loved about it, we would love to know the bungalow number/room number. We are staying half the vacation at Le 'T ahaa private island resort and the other half at Bora Bora Nui . We have an OWB at Bora Bora Nui, and a suite at the Le Tahaa (not a OWB)...Can anyone give us any info on these two resorts and what OWB or room numbers to choose! Thanks so much!!
WOW - sounds like an amazing honeymoon...half your time at Le Taha'a!!! That is great - we could unfortunately only afford to do 2 nights there. Those villas look amazing - I can't wait to get in them! I will post tomorrow some info on best room #'s.....I have some info on that on my computer at work.

Oh yeah...Luckybride2004 - I can't remember if I asked you about the rain...did you have any while you were there???
Sorry, took a few days away from the computer! I arrived on November 29, 2004. Yes, it rained the first 3 days we were there (we were there for just over 2 weeks) and according to other people, it had rained for the week prior. DO NOT LET THIS DISCOURAGE YOU! Look at my pictures, does it look like a little rain ruined my honeymoon?
Also, the 3 days of on/off rain forced us to sit and catch our breath after all the stress of wedding planning. Believe me, it didn't stop us from doing anything. Also, everyone said that much rain was very rare. FP is one of the most magical places on earth. I really feel that you can get lucky or unlucky with weather anywhere at any time of the year. You just have to go where you want to go. I have been to places where it NEVER rains (like Aruba) and got stuck in a freak storn where the rain puddles were up to my knees!

Hey Ladies!!! I am now going to Tahiti!!!! I won the trip that includes Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea... I am trying to add a couple of nights extra to stay longer! The trip doesn't include insurance, and I was wondering if it is really important???? And how much it is? My TA is going to get back to me, but I figured I would ask you guys first..
Thanks!!!![]()
I figured I would update all of you!!!! Instead of just adding 2 days to our HoneyMoon, We added 4 !!!!
So Now we'll be in the InterContinental on All 3 islands:
3 Nights in Tahiti
4 Nights in Moorea
3 Nights in Bora Bora
We would have loved to do more, but those extra four days alone was almost adding up to our original HoneyMoon, so we stopped at the 4 days, which we are so excited about!!!!!

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!
I just saw someone post on the knot about flight time changes coming home from tahiti to JFK. I checked mine and it's still 9:05pm, but the girl who posted had a return date of 7/6 and hers was changed to 10pm. Minor change...

Not sure about room #'s at Bora Bora Nui. You could post a question on the trip advisor message boards or use this board to do a search or post your question:

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!
Thanks ladies! There is SO much info here, its so helpful. I'm waiting on a price quote so we'll see :O)Also, do you recommend more nights in Bora Bora over Moorea?
Right now this is what I am waiting to hear about:
1 night Tahiti - OWB Intercontinental
4 nights Moorea - OWB Intercontinental
4 nights Bora Bora - OWB Intercontinental Spa
1 night Tahiti - OWB Intercontinental
Should I work out a different itinerary? I am not even sure of flights and whatnot yet.

Other people might disagree but I would not 'waste' your money on the OWB in Papeete for the first night. You will most likley land pretty late and probably will leave for Moorea pretty early. I say waste because nothing is ever really a waste when you are on your honeymoon in FP but you will npot be able to spend enough time to appreciate it.
Other than that, looks great! You will not regret it!!!!
