When are you going? I see you're married already.......is this a delayed honeymoon for you or just a trip? Either way you will have a great time. 2 brides on here are there now...we can't wait for them to get back with some pictures for us!

Too late, already bought the plane tickets and booked the hotels. I was getting a deal which is turning out to not be such a deal. Either way, I am solo on the interisland travel arrangements...

She's really nice - she posts on the trip advisor boards all the time and she had emailed me some photos. She is an American who moved to Moorea after meeting the man she married while on vacationing there....she's been living there for years now. Sweet lady - she's a travel agent and I'm sure she wouldn't mind helping you out with your inter-island flights. Definitely don't fly to Moorea from Papeete though - waste of money and time getting to an airport early to check bags. The ferry is only a half hour and it's so much cheaper and apparently a really nice ride with some great views!

bumping b/c I hate seeing this thread so far down on the Honeymoon board....

I am so jealous of Jess (CaMacho) right now...and someone else is there now too...Pigs I think. I hope they are having the best time in FP right now as we speak!!!

Hey I just got my weekly Travelzoo Top 20 deals...there is something on flights to Tahiti from LAX on Air France...one way is only $390. I have no idea what my flight cost b/c I did it thru the TA and she just gave us the total price and didn't break it out - but apparently that is an amazing price. It's for travel thru August though....not sure if it's worth it for any of you who are going before then to look into changing your flights (if you're currently booked with Air Tahiti you'd have to pay to cancel your flight with them to then book with Air France)...it could be a huge savings but also means it's not the direct flight from NY. Just wanted to post the info in case any of you are interested.......here is the link to info:

I've been on there daily...I can't get enough. Some girl posted her pics in the Trip Reports section...they are great and totally put me in the mood. She put great captions too - it's like a HM journal detailing everything they did....let me know if you want me to post the link. They did the Pearl Resorts on Moorea, Bora Bora and Tahaa.

I'm going to make my reservations for that restaurant now too b/c this girl in her trip report said Villa Mahana is booked solid thru August!

I LOVE her trip report too....I think I do have the same itinerary as her just I'm staying at Thalasso instead of Bora Bora Pearl...I'm doing Tahaa so I was so excited to see her pictures on that!!!

Love all the pictures she took of their food and where they ate - so great to see all that!

I'm going to get that new book you posted about...THANKS for the tip!

Villa Mahana is on Bor Bora, I emailed the owner directly about reservations.

The website is in French and English, but the menu is only on the French version. You can view it in English by clicking here . I used the Google translator. The menu is under 'La Carte'.

Ang you should email them today.....I read on the Tahiti Explorer boards that they are booked solid thru August so you may be out of luck....but it's worth a try. People rave about it and say it is the best meal and best meal experience of their life!
It's on Bora Bora.

Wow he responds very quickly....he just wrote me back and confirmed my dinner reservation...for Dec. 2nd! Sounds so far away....sounds silly I made it so far in advance but I'm just glad to know we got a reservation...I requested the best table on the top floor and he said it's ours!!!
