I am worried now b/c it said that there will be gray skies around the time i will be there ( early july)

Is there any brides that have been there in July?
I dont mind a little spurt of rain here and there, but gray skies will def. put a damper

I'm going at the end of July, I'll let you know who it goes. i'm not really worried about it though.

I wouldn't worry about the gray skies...
I'm going in late Nov/early Dec which is considered their rainy season and I'm not even worried. From what I've read it's pretty ok all year round there. You may get a little rain during the day sometimes...but they say it doesn't really ever rain for days straight there. My friend was there in Sept which is shortly after you and that's supposed to be one of the best months there...it rained 3 days straight in Moorea for her and then was sunny and gorgeous in Bora Bora. So I just wouldn't worry about it too much.

thank you girls! i just got really freaked out for a second!
I thought to myself that there is no way in hell am i paying almost $10000 for a cloudy hm! I understand that it may or may not rain ( you cant guarantee no rain..)- but i just have this vision of blue skies and turquioise water....

thats actually the time i would be going next year!
and how funny- we orignally booked our wedding 7/2/06 but decided to move the wedding to '07 to save money and concentrate on fi's parents ( both have cancer...)

cant wait!

general question, what are the flight dates- like do they only depart on a tuesdays/ thursday and and return on mondays. wednesdays?

we are actually leaving on a monday and leaving tahiti on a thursday and that flight gets in friday afternoon. it works out nicely cause our wedding is on a sunday and we will have a day to relax before getting on a plane. i have a great ta when ur ready to book

No, it isn't quite that expensive. One recent trip report quoted $378 including tax and tip. From what I understand, there are several menus to chose from, starting from $65 USD PP to about $105 USD PP.

i emailed for reservations the other night im waiting to hear back from them ... this is how we decided to end our trip also.

We're in Bora Bora from a Thurs night to a Tuesday....so we're doing Villa Mahana on the Saturday night - sort of in the middle...ending your trip there will be nice though!

to be honest - i'm not sure. we met with david at dream destinations and we told him that we'd like to try to do both within 2 weeks - tahiti to australia is a 7 hour flight. so we would fly to australia first (lose 2 days) then fly to tahiti from there and gain the 2 days back. we are planning to do 5-6 days in australia and then 8 days in tahiti. we'll see what happens - we are kind of leaving it in his hands at this point - just to get some ideas.

absolutely! we figure we are only taking 1 honeymoon so we had better do it with a BANG .....even if it breaks the bank hahaha

Oh that sounds good.....8 days in Tahiti sounds perfect! I would just do 2 islands if I were you...definitely Bora Bora and then maybe Tahaa. Or Moorea then Bora Bora.

CaMacho and pigs both leave Tahiti to come home today I think...their HM's are over already...so sad how fast time goes! I am sure they had the best time...can't wait to see their pics and reviews!
