Girls that have gone to Tahiti -- did you have to exchange your money or did you just use your credit card?

We used a credit card 95% of the time (we called in advance to let them know we would be in Tahiti at that time).

We used cash for some gifts and I think one lunch... we didn't exchange money though, we used american $$ and it was accepted everywhere we went.

If you can get to Costco, they have a nice large soft side cooler (it's material on the outside and the cooler/white material on the inside). It looks like a big shopping bag with a zipper across the top. I saw it the other day and it's gray (I bought the same one last year but in blue - that's the one we'll take to Tahiti).

Anyway, it's a nice size and it's like $7.99 or $8.99.

Oh wow - it is really good to know that we can use american money!!! We are going on to Australia after Tahiti so we didn't want to have to keep converting money at the airport/hotel.

A couple of my friends have honeymooned in Tahiti (we are going in November) and had that Captial One card that doesn't charge the foreign transaction fee. So we applied for one! They also mentioned that if you use US dollars at shops or change money into local currency at the hotels that you will get the worst exchange rate. We are going to change some $ at the airport to get the best rate or just use our credit card where we can.

off topic but check out the poster I made thru Snapfish...they have these new poster collages and you can write something on them....made one with all my favorite HM shots and got a frame for it and hung it up! Love seeing it every day...I love how it came out....it was cheap too...$14.99!

Great pictures. I made a whole memory book on shutterfly of the honeymoon. I was trying it out because I am going to try and make my own wedding album.The book is 12x12 so I have an awesome picture of Bora Bora from the left side of the plane in there. You can do so many great things on those site.

OMG~! I am currently at the Moorea Pearl Resort waiting for our transfer to go to Bora Bora. It is absolute heaven here!
