Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

It's so very sad.... :(

And it is scary...but FH says they'll be extra careful now so it should be even more comforting to know that they'll be watching everything now.

VILLA MAHANA:
I am so sad!!! My travel agent just told me she talked to the chef Damien at Villa Mahana and they will close for renovations from October 25th -- February 1st. We are going in November and were really looking forward to that 'upstairs table' and sampling the chefs food! So does anyone have any recommendations of their other favorite places for dinner? Has anyone gone over to the St Regis to their Lagoon restaurant? We are going to Hotel Bora Bora for sure for the seafood buffet and polynesian show, but want another really romantic nice place another night. Any help would be welcomed! Our agent says we should go to the St Regis.

best, evon

I would say for a romantic place for dinner either go to Top Dive or the St. Regis...where are you staying though? Could get pricey to go to St. Regis. They will either pick you up or drop you off for free I think but otherwise you have to pay I think something like $50 to get a boat ride over there.

Top Dive is supposed to be great and very romantic though...

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

Thanks so much! We are staying at the Thalasso and our agent told us she can get us complimentary transfer to/from the St Regis for dinner. She knows somebody or something. Good to hear it's romantic over there! Actually I'd kind of like to see the place as well. Thanks again! I'll check out Top Dive.

best, evon

Re: French Polynesia (Tahiti, Bora Bora, etc.) Honeymoons!!!!!!

The Top Dive website is for their dive operation it looks like. They have a hotel too and a restaurant but the restaurant page says the site page will be 'coming soon' so no pics or menus. My agent says it's a nice place, expensive and romantic. I think we'll go for the St Regis though.

There really isn't that much of 'honeymoon rate' because pretty much most of the people who go there are honeymooners....but you can def shop the price around! FM me for info!
