Re: Greek Brides??
There is another place that I have gotten my highlights done and they also do a great job. His name is Joe and he works in Salon Diva on Francis Lewis Blvd. They're cheaper than Christie's but I haven't gone in a while, so don't know how much they charge now.Salon Diva is on Francis Lewis Blvd and 48th Avenue. Diagnolly across the street from Walbaum's.
Edited to say: My mom almost died when they told her how much. But she had no choice at that point.

Re: Greek Brides??
I've been going to the same place since High School and I just wasn't happy with my color - I don't know if I should try a new place or just go back and ask to fix it (it wasn't there fault, I just don't think they get it when I tell them what I want)

Re: Greek Brides??
If a place isnt getting what you want though...you should change...i was using the same hairstylist all through college...(when i cut my hair it is pretty drastic - it gets cut pretty short) but each time i went there...it came out different...and I would either like it curly or like it straight but never both...very limiting! So i finally decided to change two years ago...I use the cutting room in the city by greene street (right next to unique and student travel - for those that know the NYU area). They do exactly what you want...My cut is 45 plus tip...not bad bec i am really happy with it.

I am going to make an appt. at Christies for a trial updo. My friend and her sister also use Christies and rave about their updo's. The girl they told me to use is Bella.

Re: Greek Brides??
I don't know what I want! I have long curly hair (not kinky tight but tight curls - gotto love those greek curls because I do but they are a pain in the rumpus!)I have very very dark brown hair, almost black, and I just wanted a tinge of lighter brown. No one can seem to get it. I wanna dye back my dark brown and just put in the medium brown highlights but no one can seem to get it! Any suggestions would be wonderful!
Georgia - is that the place that kinezi own? I think I know it!
