LINDSAY Lohan sure must have had an action-packed New Year's Eve weekend. After she was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Monday night for an 'asthma attack,' the hard-partying hottie was visited by a female friend bearing a clear plastic bag full of goodies. A picture of the bag seen by PAGE SIX shows that the friend brought Lohan a pregnancy test in addition to playing cards, mouthwash, Coke and a box of Cocoa Puffs. Here's hoping Lohan, 19 - who admitted to Vanity Fair that she's dabbled with drugs and bulimia - is not with child.

These should be the best of times for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

After being intrigued by each other on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith more than a year ago, they're still in the first intoxicating stages of new love.

Brad's divorce from Jennifer Aniston became official on Oct. 2, and now there's nothing to stop the sexy duo from getting married, which, sources say, could happen any day. And Brad, 42, has begun the legal process to adopt Angelina's children, Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 11 months. But, as happens so often in life, Angelina's happiness isn't perfect. Fuhgeddaboudit! Apparently, Gwyneth allowed Chris the naming honors... and hubby's brainstorm was to pick a name he believes has 'character.' (Imagine this kid's first day on the playground? 'Hey... Rocker Joel Madden, 26, and his pop star girlfriend Hilary Duff, 18, say their much-discussed eight-year age difference is no big deal now – but it wasn't always so easy, Teen People reports in a new interview with the couple.

'I was like, 'I don't know what I'm doing,'' Madden says of his early courtship with Duff. 'I didn't care what the press would say. I cared what my mom would say. But I couldn't get (Hilary) off my mind. We were just friends for four or five months.'

In fact, Madden tells the magazine that if he had a daughter who wanted to date a guy with such a big age difference, 'I wouldn't let it happen.'

Even after they became a couple, the pair took things slowly. 'Joel is the most respectful boyfriend I've ever had,' Duff says. 'We had five or six dates before we even kissed.'

As for their relationship now, Madden says he's totally committed to Duff. 'I think it's because I came from a broken home, but my whole life, all I wanted was some stability,' says Madden, who was 16 when his father left his mom and the rest of the family. 'For the first time in my life, someone has given that to me, and that's priceless. So I don't even think about not being faithful. To me, cheating is lame. And I think flirting is cheating's ugly cousin.'

When asked about whether they plan a walk down the aisle, the couple says don't expect wedding bells anytime soon. 'We think about the future, but not marriage,' Madden says. 'I just hope we're always happy.'

Adds Duff: 'I don't ever think about being apart from Joel. We just feel so comfortable with each other, and we know that we're not going anywhere.'

Babyface's Wife Files for Divorce

Tracey Edmonds, the wife of Grammy-winning R&B singer Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds, has filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage.

The papers, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, the Associated Press reports. The couple announced in October that they were ending their marriage, and that they had been separated for some time.

'It is with deep regret that we announce our permanent separation. We remain best friends,' they said in a statement at the time.

The Edmonds' have produced movies and television shows together, including Soul Food. They plan to continue working together on business ventures.

Kenneth Edmonds, 47, and Tracey Edmonds, 38, married on Sept. 5, 1992. They have two sons: Brandon, 9, and Dylan, 4. Tracey is seeking custody of the boys, with visiting rights for her husband.

Babyface's hits include 'Whip Appeal' and 'Change the World.'

Paris Accused of Slander, Harassment

Paris Hilton has been slapped with slander and harassment lawsuits that are headed for courtrooms this month.

The hotel heiress, 24, is accused in the suits of spewing 'vicious lies' about an altercation with a romantic rival – diamond heiress-actress Zeta Graff – at a London nightclub last summer, and also badmouthing a business promoter.

Graff is seeking at least $10 million in damages following Hilton's comments last July in a story that appeared in the New York Post. The paper reported that Graff – who once dated Hilton's then-fiance, Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis – went 'berserk' at the nightclub and attempted to strangle Hilton and steal her diamond necklace, according to legal papers.

Graff denies the report and insists that Hilton said 'I'm going to destroy you' after trying to oust her from the club, the suit claims.

Former Hilton publicist Rob Shuter said in a deposition that Hilton asked him to help plant the story and that he gave the paper comments attributed to himself, Hilton and anonymous sources that were dictated by Hilton.

A Jan. 17 hearing is scheduled near Los Angeles to consider Hilton's request for more information about the damages claim. Hilton spokesman Elliot Mintz declined to comment on the case, the Associated Press reports.

A hearing also is set for the same day on the second lawsuit, in which promoter Brian Quintana, 37, alleges that Hilton harassed and badmouthed him in the news media and threatened his life. He is seeking a restraining order.

'I can assure you that when all of the facts are revealed in this matter, they will show that the victim is, in fact, Paris Hilton,' Hilton's spokesman said.

Star Jones is fed up with those gay whispers about her husband, Al Reynolds.

In her new book, 'Shine,' the 'View' hostess portrays the 35-year-old banker as nothing short of a superstud.

'The first time he held me in his arms sexually, it was almost frightening because we knew our erotic interest in each other could take over every other thing,' Star writes breathlessly. 'We had an intoxicatingly sexual connection the first two months of our relationship.'

So volcanic was their lust that they consulted their pastor, who advised them to remain celibate until their wedding.

'It wasn't an easy decision,' recalls Star. 'Al is a beautiful man. He's got the legs of a stallion. He'd be a perfect Ralph Lauren model.'

If only those mischief-makers from Al's past would stop telling people like us about his bachelor days on Fire Island.

'One day, we would read in the press that Al was out gallivanting with a bunch of women,' Star writes. 'The next day, we'd read a story questioning his sexuality. Star tells People magazine, where her book is excerpted, 'I don't even deal with that question [of his sexual orientation]. … I know who my husband is.'

She'd also rather not deal with questions about whether she had a gastric by-pass operation.

At her heaviest, she writes, 'I started reading about different weight-loss plans, from pills to surgery.'

She admits to People that 'a medical intervention' helped her 'jump-start' her 150-plus-pound loss, but she won't talk specifics.

'I will not be the poster child for a particular method,' she says. 'Only your doctor can tell you what will work for you.' The 43-year-old Star reveals that she used to weigh more than 300 pounds. She won't divulge her current weight, but her husband says, 'I think maybe the two-piece is coming out this summer!'

And, when it does, no doubt her loverman will be drawing the blinds.
