Locklear Unplugs Rock 'n' Roll Marriage

In November, Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora were 'together.' In December, the actress and the Bon Jovi guitarist were 'happily married.' But now it's February--and they're divorcing.
Locklear, 44, did the filing deed Thursday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences and asking that the celebrity couple's prenuptial agreement be enforced.

'This is a private matter, and there will be no further comment at this time,' Locklear publicist CeCe York said in a statement.

The release had Locklear and Sambora's marriage as lasting 10 years, but it actually passed the 11-year mark last December, around the same time the couple shushed whispers of their imminent demise.

'The real story is that there is no story,' Locklear and Sambora said at the time in a statement to the New York Daily News. 'The truth is that after 11 years together, we are still happily married. Boring but true.'

Earlier, in November, a Locklear rep told E! Online columnist Ted Casablanca that the couple was very much 'together.' A Casablanca source had insisted the couple was very much apart.

Locklear and Sambora, 47, wed in 1994 in Paris. It was her second marriage; his first. The couple have an eight-year-old daughter, Ava.

In the divorce filing, Locklear requests joint custody, but also actual physical custody, of her and Sambora's child.

In November, Casablanca quoted a Sambora source as saying the rock star was 'spending a lot of time in New Jersey.' Per the rumor mill, the couple grew apart in 2004 while Locklear worked on the short-lived NBC series LAX, Casablanca reported.

In the Daily News in December, reputed Sambora insiders unloaded on Locklear, saying the former Melrose Place vixen needed '24-hour-a-day [butt]-kissing,' rejected her husband's wishes for a second child and annoyed his Bon Jovi bandmates.

'If Richie divorced her,' an unnamed source told the newspaper, 'nobody would be heartbroken.'

By Thursday afternoon, Us Weekly was on filing watch at the downtown L.A. courthouse, blaring in an email that 'several sources close to the couple' had confirmed the beginning of the end was nigh.

Locklear previously tried marriage to a rock 'n' roller from 1985 to '92 with Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, 43--an amped-up, Spinal Tap 11 compared to the low-key Sambora.

A TV institution thanks to starring roles on Dynasty, T.J. Hooker, Spin City as well as Melrose Place, Locklear most recently appeared on ABC's Boston Legal in October.

Bon Jovi, the sturdy, hook-handy rock group of 'Livin' on a Prayer' and 'Wanted Dead or Alive' fame, is currently on tour. The band is scheduled to play Thursday night in Washington, D.C.

I think that Angelina is drop-dead gorgeous, and I probably wouldn't have kicked Brad out of bed until my FH.... and he still is a bit suspicious...

BUT - I just don't think either of them are very reliable people to their partners - it could be because they are soul mates and they were meant to be, andf they finally found each other - so their love is here to stay...

I think Angelina is awesome for adopting, and wanting to adopt more - I love that she is a humanitarian and an advocate for 3rd world countries - I think its wonderful when celebs use their power for good instead of for being drunken hos... (Paris Hilton, anyone?) or for just being anorexic (the rest of Hollywood, anyone?)

HOWEVER - Jolie is notorious for hooking up with taken men - remember how in love she and Billy Bob were? He was engaged to Laura Dern when they hooked up and eloped. they were having sex in the limo on the way to award shows... they were wearing each other's blood, drinking it, tattoing their names on each other... she was making out with her brother, hooking up with that asian model - the girl is all over the place.

I don't wish anyone ill - but give it a few months, a year, or a few years - we will be on here on this thread posting some interesting pieces, I am sure!!!

I think Brad and Angelina do seem like a better match than Brad and Jenn - but I still don't like them cause I think that they are both cheating hoes and I don't like how they got together! I don't care if they are perfect for one another and soul mates, Brad was married and so it is just wrong! Poor Laura Dern - when Angelina stole Billy from her - Angelina and Billy eloped before Laura even realized Billy had strayed! Can you imagine going overseas to work and when you come back your fiance is married

Many of Paris Hilton's personal belonging – including photos, journals and clothing – have been removed from a Los Angeles-area storage facility without the socialite's permission, and are being sold for a reported asking price of $20 million.

'We learned the items were missing last Thursday,' Hilton spokesman Elliot Mintz, tells PEOPLE. 'The people who have the items claim they purchased them at auction … because the (storage) bills were not paid. Our records indicate all invoices have been paid.'

Regarding the missing content, Mintz explains that the 24-year-old Simple Life star was 'was moving from one house to another house. So it was virtually all the items from the one house.' This included clothing, videotapes and private diaries, he says.

Phoenix-based broker David Hans Schmidt – who's been nicknamed the 'Sultan of Sleaze' for his involvement with celebrity porn – is seeking to sell them at auction with an asking price of $20 million, the Los Angeles Times reports in its Friday morning editions.

Schmidt claims the items were purchased for $2,775 last November when the contents of the storage facility were sold off.

Although Hilton was featured in an infamous homemade videotape with former beau Rick Solomon a few years back, Mintz says the current crop of pictures and videos mostly consist of 'private photos of Paris with her friends and family. People will speculate about the nature of intimacy. The way it has been described to me is that there is not anything (of a sexual nature).'

Mintz adds, 'The same with the video tapes … (they do) not resemble the unpleasant tapes in the years past.”

Although Mintz tells the Times he cannot comment on Schmidt's offerings because he has not seen them, the rep tells PEOPLE about Hilton's reaction to the situation: 'Concerned is putting it mildly. First she is angry. She feels she has been violated. She's the victim once again. For reasons beyond her control, without her knowledge, she is faced once again with this kind of public humiliation.'

On the legal front, he also says, 'She is moving with attorneys, and we are trying to come up with an equitable solution to the matter.'

IMHO: Many women blame the 'other' woman....I don't understand why Angelina gets all the 'blame' and criticized as a home-wrecker....we don't know if she approached these men when they were 'taken' or they approached her.

I think the men should be getting a lot more blame for being the cheaters and disloyal to their pre-existing relationships.

Actually, nothing in Hollywood is definitive - we don't know FOR SURE when the Brad/Jenn marriage was really over, of what terms they came to....

I agree that Brad deserves alot of blame. But if a married man approached me and hit on me (and there is no way Angelina didn't know Brad was married cause Brad and Jenn were like the golden couple of hollywood), even if I was single and he was my soulmate and blah blah blah, I would not pursue the relationship. Getting with a married man is wrong. Having an affair as a married man is wrong. If it was someone who didn't have a track record of stealing other women's men (Angelina), maybe I would give them the benefit of the doubt - but I really don't think Jenn thought their marriage was over yet (even if Brad did).
