February 7, 2006 -- Oh, baby! Britney Spears is taking her son's life in her hands.
The blond pop tart cruised down the Pacific Coast Highway yesterday in her SUV with 16-week-old Sean on her lap.

That's a no-no in California, whose law says kids 'must be secured in an appropriate child-passenger restraint [a safety or booster seat] until they are at least 6 years old or weigh at least 60 pounds.'

The picture is one of a series in which the background is clearly changing as, the photogragher says, Britney drives between Cross Creek and Los Flores — about two miles.

The photographer told The Post that he came upon Britney at a Starbucks in the Malibu area at 1 p.m.

'I noticed she had the baby in her lap,' he said. 'Next thing I know, she was driving south on the PCH . . . I'm not sure if she was wearing a seat belt . . . I was surprised. She looked very relaxed — like it was a normal thing to do.'

The singer's bodyguard was in the front passenger seat.

'Today I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby. Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media. I love my child and would do anything to protect him.'

Bono Makes Designer Debut at Fashion Week

U2's songs have connected generations of music lovers, and now the band's frontman is taking his meaningful lyrics to the runway, with the debut of Edun, a socially conscious clothing line.

Bono and wife, Ali Hewson, joined the plethora of stars in New York City for Fashion Week; but this was the first time the dazzling duo was behind the scenes instead of sitting in the front row.

Their clothing line, Edun, is a team effort. Bono handles the philosophical side while Ali oversees the aesthetics. 'He's a great sounding board,' Hewson said. 'And he's just really great to have there.'

Bono hopes his new threads will be on the backs of those who want to make a difference. But when designing them, he knew they also had to look good. 'If the clothes aren't good, no one's going to wear them,' he said. 'No matter what they stand for.'

The humanitarian rock star also told us about his conversation with President Bush; the two got together to discuss more U.S. involvement in the African AIDS epidemic. 'If things get heated, and they have, I think it's a sign that he's passionate about these things,' he said.

Since his conversation with the president, Bono says the U.S. aid to Africa has nearly doubled. 'He seems very serious on this stuff,' Bono revealed. 'And you know you can't fight the war against terror without fighting the war against poverty. Cause they feed into each other.'

If she has to drive down highways with her son in her lap to protect herself I think she better invest in a new bodyguard.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have escaped an attack by a Jennifer Aniston fan.

The loved-up pair - who are expecting their first child together this year - were dining at Berlin's Nola restaurant when a woman stormed in and

'Where is that home-wrecking Angelina?'

The crazed fan - dressed in a 'Friends' T-shirt - spotted the Hollywood couple and attempted to slap Angelina.

Fortunately the 'Tomb Raider' star's bodyguards stepped in and held the American woman back while the pair headed for their waiting car.

A source is quoted in Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying:

'Angelina had taken her adopted kids Maddox and Zahara to Berlin. It's lucky she left them with a carer.

'The mentally unbalanced American had obviously been tipped off that they would be dining at Nola, because she was wearing an Aniston top and was on the look-out for Angelina.

'Angelina would normally have confronted the woman, but she was petrified because she's carrying her first child and won't risk any harm coming to it.'

Pitt split from Aniston last year after meeting Angelina on set whilst filming 'Mr & Mrs Smith'.

They divorced in October amidst speculation that the 42-year-old heartthrob had cheated with Angelina, 30.

'Jen's now remembering some things that happened during her last vacation with Brad at the beginning of 2005.

Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora were working through a rough patch in their marriage, due mostly to the strife of two busy careers. Then, sources say, a suggestive e-mail sent to Sambora by an acquaintance of the couple became a final straw in Locklear's decision to seek a divorce, PEOPLE reports in its upcoming issue.

Locklear found the e-mail, which contained 'provocative pictures' of the female, a close friend of the pair tells PEOPLE. Though the woman had long been 'a sore subject,' says the source, Locklear never thought she and Sambora had actually been 'romantic.'

Whatever conclusions Locklear has now drawn from the photos, they were, her friend believes, the deciding factor. 'She's devastated,' says the friend. 'Absolutely devastated.'

Sambora, meanwhile, is as upset by the photos as Locklear, according to their friend: 'Richie's saying nothing ever happened, that he never asked for the pictures.'

Another source close to the Bon Jovi guitar player says the photos are neither the cause of the breakup nor indicative of a liaison between Sambora and the woman. 'It's absolutely not true that they had an affair,' says the friend.

Many observers believed the bond between Sambora, 46, and Locklear, 44, was strong. 'I thought they were the perfect couple,' says their longtime friend, music journalist Lonn Friend, who insists Sambora was not your typical rocker. 'He'd sown some wild oats in his day' but since hooking up with Locklear, Friend says, he'd become 'a family man.' The couple have one daughter, Ava, 8.

I totatlly agree, and could not have said it better. Whether he was married to Jennifer, and strayed to Angelina, She (Angelina) accepted his proposal to be together. Whether they were seperated or not, they were' not' divorced so they were 'still' married. Have some class. If your love for one another is that geniuine then it could have waited until everything(the divorce) was settled.

So in my opinion they are both the blame... I hope karma treats them right in their next life
