OMG... sooo sorry to hear about your Dad as well.. it is hard.. it just happened it Sept.. and now the Holidays are here.. we are all kind of quiet not knowing what to say because she did all of the organizing ( cooking etc )

you need a big tub of chocolate chip ice cream and some old home videos. You might feel sad at the beginning, but you'll end up being happy u sat and remembered all the happy times.

My grandmother was the same way too she did always the cooking i lost her 7 years ago but she was like a second mom to me. You just have to try to focus on how special that person was and know they would want you to do all the things they used to during the holidays so that you can be happy. Try to do things like make a favorite dish of hers so you can feel connected like she is still there for you guiding you. It will be hard. Like for my dad i will probably take a shot in his honor it sounds weird but my daddy loved to drink
