I know is the wedding day and all, but did you girls think of getting your hair done with your 'regular girl' assuming you have one.
After agonizing over $$$ I decided to go with my regular girl. She did an awsome job I was in by 9:30 and out by 12:00 (cause I did my nails too). Hair onloy costed me $45!!!! and the week before while she did my hair she did a free trial....!!!!

As for make-up, aproach one of the girls at the Mac counters, ask for a card am sure they do it on the side. I had my MOH do it, I bought mac stuff (that I needed anyways) and she did it for me...

Your wedding was beautiful, we all had mishaps and things we wish we could have done differnetly. If any bride tells you their day was literally perfect...she's a liar...

O man ive been missing entourage and Dexter ...i love True Blood i could watch the episodes like 10 times each...i cant believe that Sam is dog..that is insane!!!!! lol...me too poor vampire i hope the vampires teach that girl a lesson for hurting one of their own.

I would def. go with my Reg Girl, BUT she only knows how to blow dry hair...she's deaf and every time I tried to explain a hair style, well it got lost in translation. I love her...been loyal to her for years now but I only trust her with blowdrying...everything else like cut, dying, hair styles, I go to someone else for...plus she only charges me $18 for wash, deep conditioner and blow dry!!! I dont think anyone can beat that price! lol

You have 2 yrs till your wedding...get working on it...lol..trust me it will save you money. Find someone that will make you look gorgeous...but overall make you look like yourself....

Oh yes, I got my rings and bm dresses too...forgot about that!

I can't find a hair person either. Everything in NYC is like $500+ for hair & makeup. And I live sooooo far from L.I. I would have to take off work to go to a trial...which I can't do at this moment.

Try my makeup girl. Her trail is $35 and she travels to you. I did my hair in pilatos in Northern Blvd the DO and it was no more than $150 with tip. I have an album on my trial makeup. She does an awesome job.

Uhmm...Pilatos...dont get me started on their pretentious ways...if you are not a regular costumer they wont even look at you. If they dont like your hair...they wont even look at you...My sister in law gets her hair done there and swears by them (my DH's step mom is their accountant..or used to be...) and I cannot fathom their prices...in comparison to what I pay.

My usual girl is Dominican and does a kick *** blow dry. My color is always impecable and shinny, for blow dry she charges $25...while pilatos is upawards of $65.
No offense Ms. Bernabe...but I hate that place!!!

None taken...lol. I was recommended by my sister in law. I must admit when I did my hair color and highlight it was way up there. Of course I would not go there to blow dry my hair....now way I did go the day of my wedding and I never did a trail. I just love that all I did was take a picture and I got what I wanted. I used to go elsewhere, but after a while the guy got lazy and he was getting my hair color wrong. I wouldn't go now cause it's too much money, but I cannot complain because I was more than happy on both occassions and I would do it all over again. So sad you have a bad experience, I guess we all go through it.

A lot of vendors were charging $5000+ for both Photographer and Video. I just don't know which team to choose because they were all great!

aaaawwww man, I won't travel that far, but thanks anyways. For the moment I am staying away from hair salons. I just dyed my hair and use the iron to make it straight.

Has anyone done any like part time jobs like stuffing envelopes or something like that to earn extra money for their wedding? I am dying to do something like that
