Hello Ladies

I am Puerto Rican and my FH is Puerto Rican and Irish. My wedding date is May 24, 2009 @ The Swan Club. I am super excited - can't believe its only 6 months away. Good luck to all with the wedding plans. Its a lot of work and at times stressful but it'll all be worth it in the end.

I would love recommendations for bilingual djs (spanish and english), limos and florists.

Hii and Welcome ...OMG your at the Swan Club, so am i!!! It's very hard to find fellow Swannies on here ....I wish i could help with the dj but i haven't gotten to that stage yet i just recently booked my hall and photog.

I looked at the swan club and went to a wedding there. The gardens are gorgeous but it was too pricey especially that I looked into it 2 mnths b4 my owe wedding. Then again all other halls were booked and my hall didn't cut me any slack either.

Really, i got a pretty good deal i guess since im in the Spring. I fell in love with their gardens, the water springs and the room facing the gardens. How was the wedding you went to there, did it look well executed?

Yes it was very peaceful, not too many things going on. I had a great time, and it's a perfect place for everyone to take pics!!

I just went through your wedding pictures and they are soooo nice! I loved your bellydancer idea!
I have your ring to.. suprised to see someone with my ring.. well atleast similar... :)

I love my ring, DH and I picked the ring from an online website and he went to 47th to get it custome made. My dad works there so he went to recommended jewelers.

Yes, Elegancia is great!!! My friend used them at her wedding and they played great music!! Another good DJ is DJ Zooma from musica union. They're prices aren't bad and the music they play is great!! They also get the crowd involved too.

Latin Lady...you've helped me make my decision. I guess I'll be calling Elegancia to book them. I met with them and I loved them- fh wasn't too crazy since he's a hip-hop head. I think I'll just create a spreadsheet of songs he loves so they can get a sense of what he is looking for.

They are truly professional, I feel very comfortable trusting them with my event.

No problem...The owner Jose is a doctor and he does this on the side...Girl, he get's down!!lol..Tell your FH not to worry!! They play it all!!! Spanish, hip hop, pop..whatever you want!! Trust me, you guys will have no regrets...

Oh BTW Ladies, I find out tomorrow if I won the Z100 free wedding. I need to check their website at 12pm tomorrow. They will have the winners pic posted. I'm so nervous, I haven't been able to eat.lol

Oh i entered in rachel ray show ... they wanted us to tell our story why we cant have the wedding we want cause of low budget.. so they called me today :/ we'll see

@ times i feel so certain im so for obama but then the more i listen to the debate then i looked things up on obama i get confused.. Hope he really means what he says.

I hope so too...I just want an end to the war and for my FH to not be sent to Iraq again...Tomorrow we'll be making history...it's so surreal that we actually get to live through this, witness it and one day tell our children and grandchildren about it!

Yeah it is crazy... when my grandkids learn about this i can tell them about it.. But we'll see tomorrow what happens :)
