Re: Official Latina Brides Thread
Good Morning ladies!!! I haven't been on in a few days...so busy and work is just super hectic. Just found out we won't be getting bonuses this year bc of the market
Perfect timing!
The good thing is that instead of stressing out over it, I'm going to try to establish a sort of debt diet for myself and see just how efficient it is. I've been keeping myself informed on the market and been reading up on ways to save for the future. Hopefully, I'll be able to see a drastic change in my savings. Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

You girls have some very good ideas! I was tellig my FH yesterday some of your ideas.. and he thinks it was great that I was talking to you girls and trying to Inc his heritage into the wedding so much...
So keep the ideas Comming!
I am so in love with mi corazoncito !!! Def a song of choice.. I was practicing all weekend on my first dance to that song.. but I need to find a slow song to dance to first and then bring that song into it..
Quia, so glad you're getting lots of ideas from this thread. I think you're amazing for taking the time to learn about fh's heritage. A testament to your love for him- awww![]()
I would definitely advise working Corazoncito into the wedding....but as you mentioned, have a song open first. Only because the lyrics of the song talk about a lost love that he's mourning. If you open with something more traditional and then have the DJ mix into Corazoncito- that would be awesome. I would have to start cheering if I saw that.
Its so funny because I think Im TOOO into the culture sometime.. I love the dancing, the music, etc.. just wish I could dance better.. but im learning.. lol!
Yes all of your ideas are amazing.. sometimes I come back and just read over different things and write them in my little pad.. lol!
BTW I LOVE your little pic you have .. its cute..
funny you spoke of the lyrics because I looked them up this weekend.. lol! your right about having the DJ mix it in with something... great idea..

thanx..my color scheme is fushia/dark pink w/ taupe..but I can't find pics w/taupe.. Any other suggestions to personalize the wedding our way..???
I also wanted to do the same color scheme, but I have yet to decide. I do know that whatever color I do use I def want fushia/pink flowers. I might actually use the fushia/pink as an accent color and make my main color latte/taupe/champagne.
Love your possible color choices.. very pretty! How was your weekend?
I was wondering... are you Inc anything from Kirks side ( jamaican ) into the wedding? Food etc.. or just music.. lol! I ask because I was feeling bad this weekend doing so much from the Spanish Culture and having my family there ( jamaicans ) or am I overthinking it... Should I set up a empanada station and a curry station.. lmao! You know what I mean..
I would say that would be great or have paella and if your hall offers jerk chicken then go for it. My RH offers jerk chicken as a main course i was thinking of having it as one of the main courses![]()
So funny because I didnt think RH offered food like that.. Im trying to rebook now and I am def going to look into that! WOW.. how good would that be.. lol! Im so used to the norm at weddings.. but def something to think about just to cater to both heritages.. in a small way

You mentioned he is Jamaican..how about naming the tables after different towns in Jamaica? Giving out Red Stripe beer durig CH (so good!) or giving out turtle rum cake as thank you gift

So sorry to hear. I know things are hard right now...sadly the Receptions are probbaly not taking that into consideration. Seems the market has no impact on wedding prices

Not at all.. it would be nice if they lowered prices to give ppl incentive to have a large wedding and not opt out like others have by just having City hall and a dinner.

Oh no they dont! Well the good thing is that I have a separate budget for my wedding so the bonus doesn't exactly affect it. I was hoping to use that money for after the wedding. I figured that by then I would have saved enough money to equal the bonus. ehhh market s u ks

It's hard, I love food! But to be honest, I feel healthier when I am thinner. So we have to also keep in mind that we should eat healthy not only to appear good on the outside but also for our body.

Yes definitely, so this gives me more of an incentive to control myself from eating the bad stuff. Who wants to be sick and be so young, its just best to take care of yourself.
