Villa Barone is beautiful, but i'm not too crazy about their food. I didn't hear about the Atlantis Yacht until I entered the competition..I was impressed. Plus they will have an event coordinator who will decorate everything according to your taste to make it niceI'm keeping my fingers crossed!!! I will notify you ladies if I win

good luck, i hope you get it!

I'm having mine at Marina Del Rey which is 6 minutes away from my house driving and I just went to their food tasting yesterday. Girls, their food is AMAZING!!! My family is all about flavor in the food and this food had it all...lol...I was speechless!!!!!! You also get a lot for your money...choice of 5 entres, cocktail hour, ceremony, sushi station, a station that makes all types of martinis which is sooo cool, top shelf liquor, cake..and sooo much more!! I was soooo impressed!!! Of course, I could only afford a Friday evening wedding here, but that's okay.

Yeah, I couldn't believe they were already starting to be booked for June 2010. I met with a few vendors and they were a bit pricey. I was shocked when Duet quoted me only $4200...of course, I did my research on them just to make sure they are good.
Did you find a photographer?
yep im using 12th night..love them![]()
Meli- who is your photographer (s) at 12th night? We booked Dominic and don't know who to choose for the 2nd. I'm so excited you're also a 12th night bride!

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread
Hey, chicas! So I've been reading all the past pages. I'm learning a lot from you guys. Any thoughts on where to purchase the arras, lassos, etc.? I don't mind traveling, sounds like most of you are in the manhattan/bronx/queens area. I'm in the middle part of long island, but I just want to shop and get an idea of selection. Any thoughts on where your guys are getting yours?
Thanks,
May 2010 Bride!

Hi ladies..!! I think this idea of posting a chat for OUR desires is great. It's definitely hard to find a place to chat about that incorporates our cultures and traditions w/the etiquettes of this part of the world we call home... So welcome all !!!My name is Denise and both my FH and I are 2nd genration Dominican.. I just want a classy affair that will leave ppl talking about our affairs for yrs to come. I will definitely have a spanish station at the cocktail hr that comes w/ Coronas & Presidentes on the side of it. The cocktail hr will also have lots of baladas playing in the background..especially Luis Miguel (whom I just saw at the concert on /fri)..back to the wedding.. FH's cousin is singing our first dance which is one of these 2.. 'Creo en el amor' de Rey Ruiz or ' Una amor para la historia' by Gilberto Santarosa.. I can't make up my mind.. Help!!

Hey Denise!
Welcome. So great to have you. Daylight savings is killing me and I'm tucking in early. Just wanted to say hello. So glad you're a 12th night girl. Can't WAIT to see your photos. I'm SO MAD I missed Luis Miguel...you have to tell us about it! Did you take pictures? He's AMAZING. A dog but an AMAZING singer!!!!
