Thanks...I try to accommodate all of them because we all have different shapes...i can't wait to see them in it!!! They will be wearing them with gold strappy sandals

Thanks!! I figured that by the end of May it should be pretty warm so they can pull off those dresses.

I've been a bridesmaid a few times...and I hate the fact that I have all these dresses that I spent at least $200 each on that only wore once.

That's really sweet that you let your girls choose their own dresses. I am trying to find dresses at stores because 1) the quality is better and 2) they are more reasonably priced. We'll see how that goes. It's tough because not only do they have their own things going on but with the economy being the way it is right now....I feel guilty putting people out.

But there is one dress in david bridal that i really liked but you have to have hips and *** like us latinas well some of us. 3 of my girls are gifted up top nothing in the bottom so it didnt look right.. it was 135... i really like that one..

LOL yes he did a good job I chose my DH's tux because I wanted him to wear the tailcoat suits....I forgot what you called those. He had no problem, he actually liked it.

These are really pretty...i was thinking of getting dresses from David's too but in honeydew color with the sash in black and the underskirt in black.

They are really affordable girl...and they do all the fitting for you so you don't have to go to a seamstress which will charge you even more.

No offence to any of you that have your girls pay for their suff, im just about to say my opinion here, but i think that if they are doing me the favor of being in my wedding when they could have simply said no, then i should be accomodating. They are doing me a favor, not the other way around.

Nothing wrong with you giving your opinion.. I think your absolutly right! Im in a weddng in March and Im paying $200 for my gown.. I felt guilty having anyone being in my wedding paying that amount.. I would Love if I could buy my girls dresses.. hmmmmm I guess thats why people plan better I guess.. If I planned better and had help I think I would be able to.. but unfourt we did things backwards.. bought a house, an investment property, have a million bills and now want a wedding.And dont have parents doing much of anything.

But maybe if I find an affordable dress... and have just 2 or three girls.. you never know
But I think its great you are doing this..

I was in your same position, it's tough, plus I did everything within 8 mnths before the wedding. It's tough when you have to pay a mortgage and bill they need a hanging by the neck face...lol That is why I tried getting them a good price. I also made sure they went somewhere cheap for their hair. I also let them use their own shoes (silver) so all of them had dressy silver shoes for my wedding. If I had more time to plan everything I would have done things differently, then again I can still do it for my 10 yr ann....I know I jump the gun.

I would agree if you were making them get $200 dresses, but if its something affordable then I don't see a problem with them paying for their own dresses. I'm giving my girls gifts as a thank you...and I think they would be just as appreciative. I mean I'm not giving them cheap gifts either. But I wouldn't buy the dress because I don't know if it will have much use after the wedding. So I opted with giving them something sentimental.

LMAO It is wonderful to get teh BM dresses, but you have to take into account how much you are spending, and don't want to be owing after the wedding....we did...but then again Janina's case might be different bc she has 2 yrs to pay for everything. My friends told me the were 'honored' to be part of my BP and I was honored to have them but couldn't have more expenses...being a bride is a huge expense That's why I'll start planning our 'Renewal of Vows' 3 yrs before hand. I
learned from this whole wedding planning experience.
