SOOO nice. I think we are going to come to LI during the week.. places I have called still have dates open.. so I can do is pray... I have so many ideas and stuff.. so freaking ready to put them in effect... lol!

No I never heard of that place but, I'll check their website out. I haven't done anything yet. I've had no time to do anything. I need to get moving b/c time is flying. I'm still undecided as to what I want from a florist so I haven't met w/ any yet. I really don't want to spend $$$ on flowers that are going to die in a couple of days. So i was looking to do more of a DIY CP's.

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread
Shaquia, I just saw the pics and the place is beautiful. were they pricey? If I were you I would personally have my reception in NJ. Here's a few reasons why or possibly the only reason why. Granted there are tons of RH's on LI, but there are only a select few that people tend to use b/c they are the most known and beautiul RH's. So why not have your wedding at a RH that no one has used before. That was my biggest issue when I was looking for a place. So many places that I liked after talking w/ people they were like I've been there before and I really wanted somewhere that people haven't been to, but oh well I'm not getting that. If I had the opportunity to do so I would. Have your wedding in Jersey girl, trust me people will come and stay. You have nothing to worry about. And that place looks very nice.

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread
Hello Ladies, Jumping on this thread late but figured I would add to it.We incorporated some touches.
Of course music.. We put in there some Hector Lavoe, Marc Anthony, El Gran Combo, Lalo Rodriguez etc. it ran the range.
Food - Jericho Terrace was great about incorporating some of the food into the stations, I know we definitely had Empenadas, Tostones & Maduros, don't remember what else.
We did the Arras coin ceremony,
& did wedding dolls, Some have the bride doll with the capias that you go around & give to everyone while they pin money to the doll. But I did a variation & had a doll that her dress was similar to mine. No capias.

Just got an email, not going to post up the whole thing, just the thing that caught my attention and wondered what you girls thought about it.... seems pretty good.As a recommended couple I will offer you the best price Around..
Plus,,,,,,,,,,, I will guarantee you the lowest. If you have a written or verifiable estimate I
will meet or beat their price. That’s our guarantee.
Best price, best service, best selection of limos.
We are available 7 days a week to view our fleet.
Appointment is not necessary but, appreciated so that we can let you know what cars are
in the showroom before you come down.
I would go to camelot and royalty limos first, get their quotes and c if they can really match it.

Re: Official Latina Brides Thread
Hey Girls,Neeed some advice. Went to see two photographers yesterday...saw Duet & Velvet...I think we are going to with Velvet. They are a bit more resaonable in pricing and we had a better connection with Bob at Velvet. However, how many of you think it is necessary to have 2 photographers? one for the bride and groom and family, the other for just candid shots, meaning, they will take pics of the guest?? Is this really necessary?? I think its just more money??
Thanks
Carol
